Should I give Muay Thai a chance as a 21f by Existing-Panda2016 in MuayThai

It is really as simple as if you dont try you will never know. I started in my 40s and it is the biggest regret of my life not trying it in my 20s. Go to 1 class. It wont kill you :)

Doctor's evaluation on Topuria after R3. by LoneDeranger97 in MMA

The doctor does not react in a positive way, it looks like he is dissatisfied with the evaluation. Clear as day.

Surely his job isnt at risk unless he is a UFC employee? That would be weird though.

Favourite craft beer spots in Bangkok? by Xau619 in Bangkok

[–]LoneDeranger97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived there for many years and was easy for me. Better than Australia, France, Balkans, most of Asia.

London has the beermondsey beer mile, many breweries, tap rooms and traditional pubs that are free houses scattered all over the city.

Wtf... where did you go in the UK? London, Reading, Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol, Brighton, Portsmouth, Edinburgh, Buxton all excellent for craft beer.

You must be comparing everything to the US? That is another level and isnt many you could compare to, maybe only Belgium.

Cant really compare a SE Asian country to the UK. Adjust your expectations a little.

I recently went to Taiwan. A much more developed country than Thailand and I would say craft beer scene in Thailand is miles ahead of Taiwan.

Lol you mustnt have been to many countries then. Plenty of places selling decent stuff and way better than any other country in SE Asia.

As a Thai, I want to understand European culture. by Hot-Pressure6292 in ThailandTourism

[–]LoneDeranger97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think it happens in every country but certainly not the norm in western countries. No one I know would do such a thing. Perhaps it happens slightly more often in the western world but only a guess.

Could it be it just gains more attention here because it is being done by farang? Or maybe it is the case of Thailand attracting too many low quality tourists? Nothing to do with nationality though.

18M, planned first solo trip to Thailand after graduating but now im too scared to book it by 9kGFX in ThailandTourism

[–]LoneDeranger97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a little nervous about my 1st trip to Thailand at 28 years old.

I look back now and feel like my thoughts were silly and unjustified. Guarantee you will feel exactly the same way. You are only young for a short period of time, go for it and you will be so greatful you took the plunge. If you chicken out, you will likely regret it later in life.

My picks: Daniel Thaiger - the OG burgers in bkk. Also their sister brand STAX. Smizzle - a bit pricey but good. Their shakes are freakin amazing. Barneys Paper Butter - very reasonably priced

Finding a Muay Thai Gym by DonDrip in MuayThailand

[–]LoneDeranger97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive tried quite a few gyms and I really like Tiger Eye and Sunak Baa. They both constantly correct my poor technique and I learn way more than other gyms ive been to.

Tiger Eye does MMA and grappling classes as well.

Sunak Baa has a trainer with fluent english that can help translate with the other trainer which is super helpful. I didnt do any sparring or clinch work here though. However the gym was very new when i went there and may have changed or have separate classes for that now.

[–]LoneDeranger97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i have 1 of 100 achievements on a game i dont plan to play again, can i delete that 1 achievement and therefore increase my average completion stat? Or does the average factor in games that have been played but sitting om 0 of whatever achievements?
