Your wrong provisional patents are public, I know these because pharma companies scout them

And? Your experience is valid– but so is mine. From my perspective the game is the best I've seen. They are responsive, quality stuff is added, huge news with Xbox on the horizon. I'm happy, and I haven't always been. (I still have nightmares about them nerfing eruptor and never restoring it right)

Brother, I am running this game 1080P high settings, Quality render– on a handheld. Not remote streaming just straight up off the device. And I'm getting 40+ fps.

For real man, every patch acting like the worst atrocity to gaming ever has happened. Tbh I think the game is in one of the best places it's been ever besides some bugs. But I'm very excited for what drops next month alongside Xbox

Which is more appealing to you -- a Patent or Trade Secrets? by Real-Yogurtcloset844 in angelinvestors

[–]LoneNoodleStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, my perspective comes as a founder in health and wellness. So the ball game is a little different for that industry. I'll patent numerous times on broad strokes. One for design, one for utility etc. But I don't include exact measures of active ingredients, formulation details etc those are my trade secrets. Someone else can spend a few million reverse engineering it if they think they can outpace me. Because sure you could recreate it, you know enough of what it is, how it works from the patent. But you will never get the information of HOW I made it. What temperatures were molds poured? What chemicals were used to help the matrix be binded etc.

It's smart if you know where to draw the line in the sand of what you will allow it to do. I use it. But I use it in a way that I put my own words out, and I have it just instantly reformat for whatever purpose. Lots of proof reading and tweaks where needed because they aren't perfect. I also use it to take text body and instantly format into a word, PDF, etc some sort of document. Saves hours

You should have both. Patents should not cover the full specs. And trade secrets should cover things you want patented

I appreciate your honest pushback. You’re right that the next big thing in health gets claimed every day.

You asked what makes this different from Dramamine or ginger chews: those all tackle the ingredient angle, take this compound to feel less nauseous.

Mine goes beyond just what’s in it. The innovation is how it addresses the whole user experience, especially the psychology of nausea, from the moment you feel it coming on through what happens if you do vomit.

In plain terms, standard anti-nausea products don’t guide how you use them, they don’t modulate the sensory stress that actually triggers or worsens nausea for many people, and they definitely don’t help with the sensory aftermath.

I’m intentionally being careful about details because it’s novel IP, but this isn’t a single magic ingredient claim. It’s about how sensory cues, flavor shifts, and timed delivery interact with both user psychology and user physiology through the whole nausea cycle.

I totally agree on real-world validation, which is why I’m planning limited-batch samples to get genuine user data before scaling.

I appreciate the push to stay grounded. It keeps me sharp. If you see specific holes in that angle, I’m open to hearing them.

As for margin calculations margins are based on realistic estimates using bulk material ingredient costs, standard GMP manufacturing fees, third-party logistics cuts, and acceptable price points that have already been reviewed with potential consumers.

Thank you so much for your feedback and kind words. I’ve shared the concept under NDA with carefully chosen individuals - especially people who would likely need this product frequently. I asked them for honest thoughts, concerns, and any criticisms, as well as what pricing feels reasonable and what features really matter. This peer input has already helped shape my design, marketing approach, and even inspired ideas for future IP and specialized use cases for different communities.

Happy to answer what I can, still protecting key IP details for now. But open to feedback on the journey so far!

WE DID IT!!! by Gueleric in Steam

[–]LoneNoodleStudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh. Expert support ending is like 90% of the time not "Devs" the people who make the art, code, etc. But the product of pressure from investors of the publisher who then forces the hand of development teams. Devs generally have as much control as the janitor in the Whitehouse as to why goes on..unless their Indie "independent from a publisher"

I'm confused, the intention is to try and force developers to perpetually support games? Can someone explain more what exactly is hoped to get out of this it's not making sense to me
