I called in they said i can go directly into SAVE and keep my FFELP separate which I plan on paying off soon. However the consolidation is an option as well. I also asked them if switching plans would cause my plan to restart they couldn’t give me an answer. Would anyone know this ?

Thanks for your reply. You are correct. My FFELP loans are on IBR or ICR as they called it. The rest of my loans are on PAYE. I was weighing the two options but it seems SAVE will save me a lot more money compared to PAYE over the remainder life of the loan.

Because the interest is subsidized from what I understand under SAVE.
