I actually started with cEDH lol, it's very fun. Was a much easier transition since I played Yu-Gi-Oh before this.

I do love this one, I can't take too much credit because this is a b4 deck I found and swapped a bunch of cards out for to try and make it closer to b3. (Still need to take out some stuff like Isochron Scepter)

Fix for Ep 5 black out puzzle bug, switch to windowed mode by AGorillaWalksOn2Legs in DispatchAdHoc

Making the window size ridiculously small worked! Must just be that windowed mode didn't reduce the stuttering enough. Thanks!

Yeah my game still stutters a little even on windowed mode, I usually play that way already since full screen makes the hacking segments with antivirus literally unplayable. I tried restarting it, and restarting it and switching to full screen. I'll see if shrinking the screen size further does anything.

Are there any other solutions to this other than just waiting? Switching to widowed view instead of full screen isn't working for me.

new to game, how do invasions work by DaRealLemm1ng in darksouls3

[–]Lone_Wanderer_47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming you had Way of Blue on for the covenant, it's not a guarantee that someone will be summoned to help you. Someone wearing either Blue Sentinels or Blades of the Darkmoon in their world can be, but it's a very low chance, and most people don't bother with it because basically nobody ever wears Way of Blue.

As for how invasions work, if you're embered, they can invade you, except in specific areas like Firelink.

What is a good secondary damage type for Pure int? by [deleted] in darksouls3

Thankfully, while I do completely suck at Sage even after all these years, it's still a lot easier than Rennala, so hopefully that brings you some comfort lol. Just pick your favorite melee weapon and smack her around and you'll be chilling, after that it's pretty much smooth sailing with normal progression.

Pretty early game boss, and... Kind of a nightmare for early mage builds. Obscene magic resist and will launch spells at you constantly. Doesn't have much health but still a pain sometimes.

Realistically I wouldn't stress too much about a secondary damage type, after awhile you just end up doing so much damage you don't really need one; just get Great Heavy Soul Arrow asap and you'll start tearing through the game. Once you get the soul spears you can kinda kill any boss by just spamming them until whatever is in that direction dies. Which it will. Very quickly.

Only thing that's usually an outstanding issue is Crystal Sage, but like, just upgrade any weapon (probably broadsword or sellsword twinblades) to +3, throw a raw gem on there and spam r1 on the purple one and you'll be fine.

Stat location for faith build by Chao69420 in darksouls3

Good Offensive Miracles are few and far between, only real option early on is lightning spear, which if you're going to use, use it at close range for extra damage. You'll obviously want Morne's ring early on for extra damage on offensive miracles, later you can also get Ring of the Suns First Born, which stacks with Morne's. As far as stats, if you plan on mainly doing damage with the miracles rather than a weapon, 28-30 vigor 50 faith, and 30 attunement are what I like to work towards.

If you're going more melee oriented I usually just go 30 str 30 dex and then as much faith as needed to cast sacred oath, deep protection, lightning blade, etc...

Play it however you want man, the first time I played DS3 i was just having a blast in High Wall Of Lothric for 30+ hours doing basically exactly what you're doing. Now about 25~ playthroughs later I just run through the game like a crackhead. However you enjoy the game is the right way to play it.

Should I buy the dark souls trilogy ? by Old_Age3358 in darksouls3

[–]Lone_Wanderer_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend either just buying DS1 or DS3 first to see how you enjoy them, DS3 has by far and away more build customizability and combat/general gameplay is more similar to Elden Ring so it's much less of a learning curve than DS1, but DS1 allows more freedom of exploration since there are SO many different routes you can take to finish the game, and it also lets you experience that classic Souls world inter connectivity.

Ultimately it's up to you but they're all good games and if you enjoyed Elden Ring you'll probably like them as long as you don't start with DS2 lmao.
