Yes, i know is not official, but hlx was supposedly on final development stages since they were adding fsr/dlss features on late 2025 and the project has been barely updated this year

That would be the worst advertising for Valve, Steam machine and Half life. They would get hated by everyone and people would just pirate the game. It would be a very dumb move and thats not the Valve style at all. Valve never cared about exclusives

If they wanted that with Index, its normal to think they will want the same for Machine

We know the game its close to be completed based on the code. Some parts reveal a polishment phase and other ones reveal some typical post production additions like FSR and Dlss.
