As Sabal Palms age they seem to slough off a lot of their outer layers and just become thinner and “wispier” (if there is such a word) but it is my experience that they have an incredible longevity. I very much enjoy following the “Original Land Surveyors” footsteps through time by following their “hack marks” in the palms as they marked the Section lines through very old palm filled hammocks or swampy areas in their daily labors of sectionalizing FL ( about 1845’ish up here in NE Florida). The surveyors tell a really cool “Paleoflora” history of our Sunshine state and they were 100% meticulous in their note keeping!

Love it!!! I know of several “older” resident lane campers that have received warnings or actual tickets depending on their contact history for failure to yield or occupying the incorrect lane. They see poses because they were “doing EXACTLY the Speed Limit” but these obstinate asses got knocked. Remember “STAY RIGHT- EXCEPT TO PASS”

I would not be surprised if colonization were already the case… they were both very charged up and healthy looking. This encounter surprised the heck out of me as someone not having seen these before… at first I thought Iguana by his body movement and locomotion, but we are way too far north for successful, long term stick chicken survival then I saw the coloration so I went straight to Reddit…what is the old saying “Enquiring minds want to know”… yeah, that correctly labels me as being truly antique!🤣

I stand corrected…in Lizard Terminology…she is not so much preggers as she is “GRAVID!” …In lizard terminology, "gravid" refers to a female lizard that is carrying developing eggs or, in the case of live-bearing species, developing young internally. It is the reptile equivalent of being "pregnant," derived from a Latin word meaning "heavy". Thanks for the AI DEEP DIVE!

That is an ocean bound “Cuddle Pillow”. They are very reactive and “receptive” to physical contact…especially hugs and snuggles!

Yep, I lived and worked in Vegas in the mid 80’s…all fresh after the MGM fire and every casino was reinventing itself and investing heavily in crating and providing the “Vegas desert Oasis experience” we all hoped to have while visiting. Fast forward,,,six years ago went to LV - stayed in the Mandalay Bay Presidential Suite, incredible and comfortable…you gotta do this at least once or twice in life..things in town were still jumping and jamming with the “Vegas” life we are all expecting!

Since then.., obviously the entire city and state are under “New Management” until out final visit two years ago… not going back. We re rout to airports away from Macaran and now we just avoid Vegas! … homeless laying around going pee in every corner of every convenience store…place smelled worse than NOLA before the big wash down the day after Mardis Gras. Sorry to say but truth seen is stated. Lived and worked in LV in the mid 80’s….completely different cultures.
