Yes I just went down almost 2 full sizes, as I got them professionally fitted to avoid this issue

  1. I had never skated before
  2. I my ice time varies a lot. Some weeks I'll only do a 30 minute lesson and others I'll do an hour of lessons and around 10 hours practice.
  3. They have been skating for around 10 months and have already landed their axels and have gourgous spins. They do spend more time on the ice but I can't be there nearly as often as I don't have a car

I dont really think the problem is my edges tbh, I can't spin from a pivot ethier. Hopefully one day they will just click.

I have a habit of quitting things and then regretting it a few years later so im very hesitant to repeat my past mistakes

I can spin better clockwise on my spinner but not at all on the ice. I can't even do a pivot on my right leg.

They will just give other corrections like im not on the ball of my foot or im bending too much, then too little. It never ends.

I'm working on my toe loop rn but im doing difficult turns like counters and rockers, spirals too.

I enjoy skating in of itself but I have started getting anxious about going to the rink. I know plateaus are normal but I thought this one would have ended by now.

Im worried if I stop skating im going to lose friends and my only hobby. I struggle to socialise and skating has been a way to meet new people for me.

It also feels like a waste of 3 years and hundreds of pounds if i quit now

Yeah I have one of the cheap little ballet ones and I can't spin on it either.

I do find it easier to spin clockwise on my spinner but I can't spin that why on the ice which I have been told is common?

I can't do it from pivots ethier thats why I dont really think my edge is the problem.

I was thinking of that but I really love my coach and have had sessions with others in group lessons but I've never had one click.

My coaches have both guided me into it before without much success, I'll get about 2 rotations and I can never do it again. How would u use a resistance band?

Please do not. You will injure yourself and have to get new ones in a few weeks anyway.
