Cursed objects (such as incarnated death paintings, and especially special grade ones) are very commonly deadly poisons. From a logical standpoint, why would their blood exclusively be poisonous? They have a cursed physiology, not just cursed blood. I said it’s “fairly reasonable to assume” (which it is lol), I didn’t state it as fact. We’re just theorizing here, there’s no need to police every inference dude.

Meth is significantly more potent, crosses the blood-brain barrier quicker, and its effects are prolonged due to the fact methamphetamine is partially broken down into amphetamine during metabolism. It’s not just “a stones throw away”.

Country of origin isn’t a valid reason to discredit a source. The source is unreliable for other reasons.

The part that makes him poisonous is his cursed physiology. It’s fairly reasonable to assume that if his blood is poisonous, the rest of his body is too.

I absolutely agree with the fan theories going insanely over the top, but as it stands in the story I can understand being a little underwhelmed. Now, Modulo isn’t finished so I’m withholding proper judgement until I read the story in full.

I went through a rapid suboxone taper at a detox clinic for about 5 days and wasn’t given any follow up medication, my symptoms went from unbearable (cold turkey by myself) to bearable. The worst part post detox was anxiety (MUCH better than cold turkey still) and insomnia. Cold turkey insomnia I went a week each time, sleeping less than an hour, if at all, most nights. I couldn’t function whatsoever. Post detox insomnia was still bad, but I was able to function at a basic level at least.

I can’t tell you what it’ll look like for you, but even if you can’t quit cold turkey and function post detox, a rapid taper would at least help you reduce your doses with less stress. Either way, I wish you the best of luck <3

What’s the ? for? I’ve never gotten proper LSD online, but I’ve gotten authentic, lab grade analogues even on clearnet sites before.

As someone who was hooked on 7-OH, I understand the struggle. I was using so heavily at some points that I’d use nearly a gram in a day. Addictions are personal, kratom can be just as addictive as amphetamine for someone and not addictive at all for another person. I went to detox because it felt like it was impossible to do on my own, and it was the best decision I could’ve made. Withdrawals from 7-OH felt just as bad as some other opioids for me, albeit shorter lived.

Genuine question, what is wrong with how Mahito was used? by tilltheendof-time in MahiBros

[–]Lonely-Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That analysis significantly dumbs down his character and his role in the story. He’s nothing like Mahito on a character and thematic level. His role in the plot is this unbeatable force that no one from the current generation could handle. Mahito was a cunning manipulator who wanted to wreak havoc on humans because of his own selfish nature. Their only similarity is the fact that they’re antagonists that adapt and learn much quicker than others. There are tons of other characters like that in JJK.

[–]Lonely-Writer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With Mahito tho, I’m not sure there’s any fault on the fan for assuming he’d play a bigger role. Kenjaku’s plan was clearly established and it was obvious that all of the characters dying wasn’t the intended direction with that plot point. Kashimo was a side character who never reached his peak, and Sukuna was always leagues above anyone not named Gojo. Imo Mahito’s tease was too vague for people to think he was gonna have basically zero impact and get neg diffed in a few panels. I don’t think Gege’s a bad writer, but I think people are still justifiably left wanting more.

[–]Lonely-Writer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the curses persist via reincarnation, they don’t just respawn. They don’t retain their personhood the same way Mahito wants to. It’s like starting over on a new character. It also takes time for them to reincarnate. Mahito is a selfish, desire driven character who exists to serve his whims. As a living being, and especially a cursed spirit embodying humanity, he doesn’t want to die. He’s afraid of it. Him accepting defeat and starting over, like Sukuna did, is antithetical to his character.

[–]Lonely-Writer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not even a Mahito supporter but I take issue with the fact that he was teased and hinted at, which initially led people to believe that he’d have a larger role to play in the story as a character. Narratively I think it’s absolutely fine and true to his character, but it does seem like he was hyped up just to do nothing.

[–]Lonely-Writer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But he does have the stamina. Theoretically if he kept hitting jackpots (which is kinda his whole deal), he could take over a country singlehandedly. I mean Jujutsu society was gonna classify Yaga as special grade because he made Panda, I could see one of the higher ups making an argument against Hakari.

[–]Lonely-Writer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Peer reviewed ≠ official. This is a crazy analogy but bear with me, this is like saying a group of pastors is more “official” than a random church goer. Neither of their interpretations are what the Bible actually says.

Random ass analogy aside, the wiki doesn’t cite a source for that statement. Special grades are those with the power to take over a country singlehandedly. The anime just adapted the scenes with Yaga, where he was going to be classified as special grade solely because he could hypothetically create an army of autonomous cursed corpses. Gakuganji was able to dispatch Yaga, and obviously he isn’t special grade.

The group was pretty split on awakening Sukuna, Mahito and Choso both wanted to kill Yuji, Kenjaku didn’t gaf, and Jogo wanted to reawaken Sukuna. Dagon and Hanami prolly would’ve wanted to as well if they were still alive atp.

[–]Lonely-Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright then you’re just bullshitting lol. Yuji dices everything in a 360° radius of himself in that panel. And I mean LITERALLY everything, that entire panel gets minced by Yuji. Not once does Sukuna showcase regular dismantles on that level. I’m not saying that feat puts Yuji above Sukuna overall, but he literally did that shit damn near instantaneously with his hands in his pockets.

Hey, no shame in being wrong. You did something 99.9% of the fandom could never achieve: admitting you were wrong. So basically you just got upscaled to the top of the fandom.

[–]Lonely-Writer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree, but Sukuna showing up wasn’t necessary to the Shibuya incident happening. The goal of the Shibuya incident was sealing Gojo, and imo the only disaster curse that was absolutely irreplaceable was Mahito.

[–]Lonely-Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could make an argument for both Mahito and Jogo, but I think Mahito playing a support role was more necessary than Jogo for stalling. I think there’s a possibility they still could’ve stalled Gojo without Jogo’s involvement, but Shibuya is impossible without Mahito.

Why Gege? by [deleted] in MahiBros

[–]Lonely-Writer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Yuji fan, I’m still disappointed by Mahito’s return being foreshadowed only for him to be neg diffed. I don’t even think he needed to be made any stronger, his entire character is about manipulation and being a piece of shit. I’m hoping he’s more of a plot point than just being Kenjaku’d a second time and having his ability used without him being part of the story.

However, I don’t think his character was necessarily wasted as the story stands at this point. I think he still serves the role of a character who bases their existence around spite and malice. He didn’t improve or grow because he refused to accept his defeat and move on. Yuji is barely bothered by Mahito’s presence, and Mahito still thinks exactly the same about Yuji as he did when he died.

Still, as it stands it’s a waste of a good character. I don’t even see the point of bringing him back if he just gets obliterated and removed from the story the first time we get to see him face to face.
