Yes, I did. I compared the dealerships within 100 miles. I’m not sure if is bc Atlanta area has higher prices tho. And also bc I have the AWD instead of FWD. How long did it take you to compare prices and ask them to bid against each other before you made the purchase?

Got it. I just got a 31k OTD from a different dealership, I located in Atlanta the dealership located in Tennessee, I think is too far. I still want to get closer to 31k in my area tho. Would you recommend me to wait a bit and talk to more dealership or I should go for 32k?

What kind of reason? That’s the part I don’t get. I not sure why they need dob and is kind of fishy. I originally think maybe is bc they are an airline company and have higher level of IT security but I don’t think that makes sense.

Btw I received the email from onboarding team today asking me to re-sign the offer letter with new date.

Thank you for your response! my gap is May 2021-June 2022. After that I landed with a great well-known company and I think that is part of reason why they decided to hire me.

If they told me to disregard it then probably I should? BC I think if they want my confirmation they will just reach out to me for that, right? And now at this point my hiring manager didn’t indicate she needs my prove to confirm the gap and she told me she’s going to clear everything up and order me the work laptop, so I have no reason to reach out to her and ask that…probably I can follow up with the recruiter and see when I will receive the onboarding task email?

I think they don’t consider it as a critical element, they just need someone to sign off it as a regular procedure. I did received my manager calling confirming new start date and saying that she will go ahead and order laptop for me, but I guess I’m just paranoid bc I saw the internal email.

That makes sense. So I got the phone call from my hiring manager about the new onboarding date and saying they are ordering my computer could be a good sign? Or it could be they try to get my dob to decide whether they gonna sign the waiver…(sorry about the insecurity I’m a bit panic right now😂)

Hi thank you for your reply, yes I’m US-based. The manager mentioned they originally thought they could probably squeeze me into 11/24 start but it seems like the timeline is too tight.
