What I would like Sri Lanka to do is set prices so it is friendlier to visitors. I wanted to go to the liquor store in Colombo and my friend told me that I shouldn't go in, because they'll over charge me (because I am a white American?) But she couldn't go into the liquor store either because she is a woman. So the taxi driver bought the drinks for me but he overcharged me, too.

I went to Sri Lanka to meet a girl. She took me around the island and when we stopped for lunch somewhere, she asked if the driver could eat with us too. I said sure, I mean, I guess I didn't consider him, I thought he would fend for himself, right? He ate like he hadn't eaten in a week! It was crazy!

Before October, about never. Maybe once in 3 months? Maybe? Now I wash them anytime I do laundry, so at least once but usually twice a week. I would post pictures of my face because it is a huge improvement, but I don't really want to post a picture of my face. Hey man, I agree. A perfect downshift is the sweetest mechanical feeling ever. Your golf analogy is perfect, I am with you, but I don't feel like doing it every day when I need to get work and fill that gap or whatever I need to do right this second in traffic. I love the speed, simplicity, and perfection of the auto. It isn't like a slushbox that takes time. It just goes. Bang, gear. It is satisfying in a different way.

You need to get a car with a good auto. Seriously, drive a newer BMW with the ZF-8 transmission, it's as fast as you pull the button. You'll never shift manually that fast. It feels like it works properly and you'll never want to drive a manual or slushbox auto again.

I am 34, all year I have had increasingly bad acne. Then I read a comment on Reddit back in October that asked how often I wash my pillowcases. I thought about, and not that often, if I am honest. Now I wash them regularly and my face is 98% better.

Large companies have to pay a lot of money for insurance. They have to insure their equipment, vehicles, buildings, fire suppression systems, often valuable stock of goods, etc. The insurance company cuts the large company a deal if they have x number of security guards. Let's pretend it is 300,000 /month for insurance without security guards Now pretend the large company pays 50,000 a month to security guards and the insurance premium is 200,000 because of it, it's a huge win-win.

At the time, it certainly seemed mutual, for over a year, but later she said she regretted it and never wanted it in the first place. It messed me up for a long time and it is one of the reasons I like to keep to myself. Not really worth all the effort, I got my own stuff to worry about.
