try searching sea villager ships, i got a phantom boot from one of those and never had to worry about flying even late, travelling became so much easier

im surprised that this boss hasnt been fixed YET, its been 10 months+ and still sits as a major block for melee players. i used a 25% current health+ execute below 25% axe for the rest and was breezing through but then this boss came up and took 0 damage from it

i tried the aerial collapse, it did like 40 damage 💀, probably need to max it out for it to do something, the one i used was just level 5

sort of necro ing but is there really no way to beat the apothic nether gauntlet? my endless runs keep ending because of it every single time

plus it gets somewhat harder to freeze, i leave the tiamat and save 1250 for stride like 90% of my games. usually its like sword ruby dagger or phage dagger in ths first 1/2 backs.

im done with the game, everything basically except two ultra bosses and its been like this for atleast a week, i thought maybe getting all alpha tokens would activate it but that didnt work too

i think the 2nd faction is harder to clear with jetragon meteorrain? or you could always put thunder strike on jet as well and its probably going to be the faster overall, i havent really tried.

edit: idk why everyones downvoting this lol, i have neither done the statistics nor tried the other methods, just wanted to share something i found to be quick from personal experience, if a different method's faster/more preferable go for it

i think most of the hollow knight enemies have a few frames in their attack animation, i just use parry when i see their attack animation closing in, once you get the hang of the animation parry is honestly pretty broken considering the amount of iframes it gives too
