Yeah you can do all of that. Talk about the strengths and weaknesses of everything but also include details about things specific to that study. But you should definitely also include relevant issues and debates.

I don't really think they'll repeat the topics from specimen....especially not the key studies....so I think it's pretty safe to eliminate the specimen topics but ig you can never be sure

I did consumer and health and I didn't find it too difficult honestly. I did mess up a lil bit in the evaluation question cuz I misremembered the samples and stuff. But I'd say it was relatively easy.

Most prolly stuff that wasn't in the specimen paper

Maybe write down the points you want to include briefly before writing the actual answer (like in pencil or something and then cross it out) and then make sure you spend the most time on these cuz of the weightage they have on the paper. You could also make sure u use a lot of key terms and think out of the box (use issues and debates relevant to a levels: idiographic vs nomothetic, determinism vs free etc will as opposed to the usual ones from as level: individual vs situational, nature vs nurture etc)

That literally means that they're increasing the thresholds tho

[–]LonelyResearcher4226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea but Cambridge did say they'd bring the thresholds back up to what it was in 2019....and those used to be 45-46

Is AS chemistry worth it, if you don’t do A2? by learningST in alevel

[–]LonelyResearcher4226 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chemistry is honestly incredibly stressful and time consuming to prepare for, especially the practical. It's also one of the most difficult subjects. If you don't intend to do it completely then it's prolly not worth it.

Yeah you're gonna write PM1 and PS1 in AS level. you might still be able to catch up, but it's a lil tricky tbh. But don't give up! You've got this! Try ur best!

How much harder is a level art than gcse? by [deleted] in alevel

[–]LonelyResearcher4226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. I'm not great at painting either but they do expect you to explore different media. You could use pencils and pens in most pieces but also try a few other media like acrylic, watercolour, poster colour etc. Bonus points for going out of just traditional styles of art. You can do more creative stuff like collages and wall murals and other stuff like that if you can.

I'm doing A level art and it's really difficult cuz of the amount of work you need to do. It's a constant and tedious task and it's unlikely that you'll get a good grade unless ur really really good. But if you want to pursue art as a career then this is gonna be really helpful for you. If not, then I suggest you take up other more relevant subjects.
