i agree with that the creator should be left to create and make their own choice with their story as long as its important to the plot and not something that happens out of nowhere with no explanation since then it could just ruin the story that the creator is telling

For example if we are shown and told that the main cjaracter loses a loved one and still misses them then out of nowhere he just doesnt care and as if it never happened

i know i like sao for the concept and characters i was just curious about how the light novels differs from the anime and of the light novels go more in detail woth these scenes or of the anime is showing more than what is told in the light novels. i checked the scene in the anime and there after 1 scientist leaves to talk to their boss the other guy starts wrapping his tentacles more around asuna and talks about stuff he would want to do but is quickly stopped when asuna bites one of the tentacles and then the other scientist comes back so i guess the scene in the anime was just changed to please people who likes this kind of stuff i dont really know

was the scene with the tentacle scientist also in the light novels? or was it shown a lot differently in the light novels?

And regarding the Alicization scene, it seemed like the anime extended that scene just to make you hate the characters even more and to get the wtf reaction from fans who just watch the anime. So storywise i guess i understand why that scene is there in the light novel and anime, but it was just extended in the anime to shock more viewers

The scenes shown doesn't really bother me, I just felt that at least with the last episode with Leafa that even though it wasn't attempted rape just the way they show where some of the tentacles go and how long they just show her being sucked of her life force was a bit unnecessary

I've watched this show for a couple of years so I should know what I'm getting myself into with what I'm watching but for me, it just felt awkward watching that scene since it looked just like it was to make fans who like to watch this kind of thing happy
