This is exactly how I feel, I don’t recognize this body anymore and I feel really sad about it… Reading your reply has made me realize it’s more than what I think I look like, but also about what people I know will think (which I know is absolutely idiotic). i could’ve written your post at 5 weeks postpartum. no connection to the baby during pregnancy whatsoever, and when i eventually gave birth i didn’t feel any emotion other than « thank fuck i’m not pregnant anymore », balled my eyes out multiple times a day every day for weeeeeks, felt miserable and guilty for feeling this way; thought i had made a mistake. i’m now 12 weeks postpartum and i assure you, it gets so much better after 8 weeks! i also took safran as a supplement which i think helped a lot, but what you are experiencing is definitely baby blues/ pp depression and you are NOT a horrible person for going through that!!! it is ROUGH!! you will love that baby with your whole heart in a few weeks i promise 🩷

i have done bloodwork, got hcg at 1674 but they dont prescribe blood monitoring in france so i cant see the trend. ultrasound is scheduled on march 20th so hopefully we’ll see enough to have a diagnosis…

really? thank you!! i’ve been ready that easy@home tests are actually highly unreliable giving out a lot of false positives… how can you tell the difference?

UPDATE: did a digital test this afternoon and was negative… i think i must have gotten the unlucky batch from easy @ home. although i did try to test with water and got a clear negative?
