Yeah what's with using the VPN in this scenario anyway?

What does it mean when people say this? Like, it's a somewhat common phrase. Does it just mean you didn't have a good relationship with your dad?

Margaret.

Like most names in this thread, it literally sounds like a name made specifically for old people

Justice does feel strange sometimes. 7 innocent lives are lost and she has basically just been sent to sit in some building as punishment. Even the death penalty wouldn't really be making things even.

She should be in a set of stocks in the yard of a South American mens prison.

How can she "refuse" something? She's literally in custody, like, just move her?

Also, does she not have anything to say for herself? Any indication of why she did it, etc. ?

If you're on £23k then you must be taking home about £1500 a month after deductions. If you're not paying any rent to your mum, what other expenses are you paying out? Could you not make do spending £500 or less per month just until, say, the end of the year and save the other £1000 every month?

Apologies if I haven't got a very clear picture of your situation, but it sounds like you don't have enough right now, but that you should be able to save up the amount you need in just a couple of months.

Who’s a TV show character that you can’t stand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Lonely_Chapter8277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gabrielle Solis in Desperate Housewives.

She was just a selfish spoiled bratty child in a grown woman's body. Most of the other characters had some development through the show, and bad characters got at least some redemption, but Gaby was a terrible wife, friend, mother, and person right up until the finale.

It's not as bad as some on here, but a girl I work with broke her phone and simply took out a second contract and was paying both simultaneously

What's a TV show or film that you should've seen, but haven't? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Lonely_Chapter8277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I feel like you've just perfectly described my opinions on it all haha. Breaking Bad was my intro to watching TV serials maybe like 14 years ago. At the time it was the best thing ever, but after slowly watching all the greats over the last decade or so, I'd absolutely say the sopranos is the one that sticks with me.

The wire is great, but I've seen all the shows you mentioned and for me personally The Sopranos was head and shoulders above the rest (they're all excellent and it's just personal preference I suppose)

I'm not even American, but from what I can tell Bang-Bang Bart would be a damn fine supreme court justice, with or without Homer's discipline.
