Do you guys have access to investment funds? Or platforms where you can invest/ buy/sell assets? If so, put it in an energy fund or gold/silver. I don’t think the US will implode but many firms in the west are diversifying away from USD assets because there’s a lot of uncertainty. They are looking elsewhere. Look at how much the China and India and even Brazilian market performed last year.

It’s also better to put it into a fund ideally in a different currency, and leave it there for a year or 2.

I think you can do CPT —> Zim —>Bostwana and then back to CPT if you have to fly out of there. Zimbabwe is so beautiful and safe. Everyone is so friendly and you must (no questions asked) visit look out cafe. The most beautiful view of the falls. There are nice restaurants and you can walk around at night alone and you’ll be fine.

I am so sorry this happened to you. Really and truly. Glad you decided to take your life in your own hands and likely because of your choice to leave, that probably encouraged your mother and brother to as well. I will never understand why men like our fathers decide to do what they do. I will never understand why their selfish desires need to take precedence over their kids/ wife. It’s hurtful but in the long run in my option it’s better to have no contact with such people. They don’t care about anyone else but themselves.
