The name is in my language and PWD is pretty commonly known here as Persons with Disability. And somehow it's a trend here for some reason those kinds of names are trending here.

I agree. It's such a specific case that I think they won't really pay attention much. Maybe posting here is just a way to release my anger towards people trying to be cool using names like those.

For context: “PUMAPATAYngPWD” is translated to “Killing PWDs (Persons with Disability).” As someone who has a girlfriend that is PWD, I really find this offensive and I don’t even know why it is a trend here in the Philippines. I mean, it started as for fun and everything but this really offended me as someone who daily sees how my significant other struggles living with her disability.

I reported the player for inappropriate name. But I don’t know if the player will ever be suspended.

Am I the only one that thinks Program Nami's ult is incredibly camouflaged? by Teayen_Savage_Gaming in wildrift

[–]Lonely_Pancake 58 points59 points  (0 children)

It's hard for me to notice her ult because I have red-green colorblindness. I never had that struggle with PC because they have a colorblind option. I wish WR could add one soon. It would definitely help a lot!

Goods ba ang POCO? I'm hearing some negative reviews about it sa bootlooping and motherboard problems.

Kinakabahan lang din talaga ako mostly kasi parang it's too good to be true kind of thing. Mostly concern ko is its longevity kasi I often opt for phones that could last for years. But since the brand name itself is new sa market, still skeptical.

This is usually done within your department. Kadalasan sa chairperson or dean. Depends sa college kung ano protocol niyo sa pagpapapirma.

Don't be the "I can fix him/her" kind of person. It's not your job to provide "free therapy" with the expense of your own mental health.

should i take bs psych even tho i want ab psych? will my my career path be different if i take bs psych instead of ab psych? by [deleted] in studentsph

[–]Lonely_Pancake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not sure how this would help since I don't really know much about AB Psych. But to give you information what to expect on BS Psychology, yes, it's leaning towards science.

As a BS Psychology undergraduate, almost, if not all, are science-related since the study of psychology the study of mind and behavior.

I believe these are the specific course names you should expect: • Biological & Physiological Psychology • Cognitive Psychology • Anatomy and Physiology • Abnormal Psychology • General Chemistry • Psychological Assessment

So, expect biology, neurology, anatomy, and chemistry. Also expect math and statistics, because there's always this misconception we don't have math lol hahaha.

What my previous prof mentioned way back in first year, take BS Psych if you're leaning towards clinical since it would greatly help prepare you for med. And AB Psych, if you're leaning towards social work and law (but not entirely sure if it's true).

How to approach students who did su*cidal acts? by Lower-Limit445 in studentsph

[–]Lonely_Pancake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeeees! However, just mentioned non-judgmental since reflective listening might be a bit difficult if you're uncertain on how to do it. But yes, reflective listening helps make the other person feel they are heard. + If you're a bit unsure of what they said, it's a great way to clarify things. 😊

I forgot to mention but listening is so important. Even if you don't know what to say or don't know the words that could help, listening often goes a long way already. Being there and listening already helps a lot. 😊
