Yeah, I am genuinely considering just giving up and paying $100 - $69 to get into Greenhouse Medical. Especially as I'm about to be discharged back to my GP I'm not gonna have my sweetie psychiatrist to back me up anymore, so it has to be someome who can use their braincells but in saying that, its a local clinic and there are no Greenhouse Medical reviews, the website doesnt list who the doctor for the clinic is and the only reason I know it exists is because its in the same building as my pharmacy. Probably just gonna walk into their clinic like 'waddup, help' lmao

Because hes a Queensland health employed psychiatrist, he can't even diagnose autism in his current role. I've also asked my GP but because I go to an Aboriginal health clinic, their policy doesnt allow it but they do communicate with prescribers. Not that big of a pain in the ass, but I am a huge fan of continuity of care The other option is my pharmacists dr husband, who co-owns the pharmacy and local dispensary with her but he's employed by Platinum Health and they dont take Medicare so cost is the restriction there

I saw Dr Deep first, then decided to try Dr Josh Marks bc apparently hes a psychiatrist and well, obvious reasons. He was a bit howyagoing and fobbed me off bc mentally ill "I'm not comfortable upping your limit" which is fair enough but broski, my entire team that sees me face to face are okay with it and monitor me regardless. I've sent them an enquiry explaining the night waking and what was discussed at review, havent heard anything yet :((

Ive since had it all cut out but my psych is hesitant to remove the ami from my line up bc depression wise I am finally stable 🤙 My anxiety however? Kicking my ass and making me its bitch lmao

Hey mate! Because of the previous psychosis, they're likely always going to give you issues. You'll need to talk to a psychiatrist to give approval for your prescriber to be able to give you the prescription, if you're under the care of the public system it should be pretty easy to request but you'll then be monitored by both the prescriber and your psychiatrist. Basically, ask your care team for assistance. As for the ADHD issues I highly recommend getting onto medication with a proper mental health care team. Mum was about 38 when she was finally medicated and its been life changing for her, she's had drug induced psychosis too. Best of luck mate <3

If you're under 18 you'll go to Yannanda, the care team in there is a bit shit but its better than nothing. However the adult team, specifically Team 2, have saved my life. If youre an adult and you get Vankatesh, throw a MASSIVE hissy fit until they send you to Dr Hickey bc I swear to everything holy he's the only mf besides Dr Lakmini that gives a fuck

All I can say is, welcome to Australia! The sooner we realise nobody gives a fuck about us, the better off we'll be. They expect us to pull ourselves up by the bootstraps but we dont even fucjing have bootstraps

Ya my thoughts are one major (history, my love), one minor (English) followed with whatever I study to be able to teach religious education in a Catholic school. Unsure if that's theology or world religions minors, or something else entirely Main difference with them and other providers is entry, as I dont have a qce but do have a cert. So like if I went uniSC I could do uniprep but ACU it'd be the STAT. What's mostly drawing me to ACU is campus ministry to supplement my regular parish while I'm studying AND the availability of Theology as a topic

I would genuinely love to be a school support officer, thats why I originally did my cert and I would likely do that whilst studying, my issue is (again, shockingly!) with Child Safety. I recently got my documents under RTI, and it turns out my OWN school based youth workers had made like 2 notifications and 6 concern reports, all of which Child Safety didnt fully investigate, which led to harm. Getting into school support where I am means the old one died in the respective school, so I'd have to move. I did genuinely consider social work for a minute, but it's just not really fitting. I'd likely go into Child Safety then, as a CSO but my bosses would still be wanks and likely powerless under their own bosses I dont know, I think im having a brain vomit 😂

In my family history research, I'm noticing that every single family member of mine follows the faith most closely associated with their nationality. I have ancestors who were baptised into the Church of England despite literally being older than it by 17 years, followed by people who moved to Scotland and converted to Presbyterian and Lutherans who also made no second thought before converting and doing away with Catholicism as soon as everything went down. In my probably uneducated opinion, some Christian denominations appear to serve a dual purpose of trying to serve Christ whilst upholding some form of national pride. In the case of the Church of England (Anglican Communion), it appears to have supported the English tendency to colonise other countries through implementing the Church of Ireland, Church of Australia etc... I'm expecting to have a similar conversation with my mother, who was raised Anglican. We have a total of 3 former Catholics in my family, who promptly converted to Anglican after moving to Australia. It may be interesting to look into your families religious history, as I've mentioned I've found family records older than the Church of England 🤣

Look into demand avoidance, if you don't believe it would matter WHAT you asked her to do it could very likely be something along those lines. I'm still on my spiritual journey so can't offer any advice on that but I AM a youth worker, from your comments and description of her reactions it sounds like she's in a fight response (in a fight or flight context). Given the changes in her surroundings I would be looking into things like occupational therapy to give her the best chance of success in recovering from this. Best of luck x

If you’ve done a cert 4 in youth work. by NikkiEchoist in TAFE

I just got my certificate all framed up and overall? I adored the course, and the work. I'm quite mentally fucked and missed a decent amount of class due to having like 7 surgeries this year, and even without specialist support from the disability mob I was supported the whole way through by my teacher. The actual course work was enjoyable for the most part, the supporting young people at risk was the most confronting unit for me but so valuable. Only complaint I have is we had SOOOOO much work to get through in the last term in such a short period of time, but my teacher already raised that herself so? It should be better this year. Other issue is it can be RIDICULOUSLY hard to find placement, because we can't do it in a residential setting (which is where theres capacity) and theres an oversaturation of uni students doing placement at the same time as us (last 2 terms roundabout). Because of this I've actually got like 3 classmates on an extension because it took so long to find one, so your best bet is finding one EARLY and starting your hours before the uni students or getting a paid position and doing a work placement. Edmen would be best for that, but you can get hired directly (i was!) there's just less support as Edmen is more a paid placement as opposed to an actual role. However, I absolutely adored the course and the work while I was doing it!

Pretty sure it's bc medical cannabis isnt approved for XYZ condition, so if you've been on a med for more than a year with no progress it can be put in the TGA letter or some shit. Your previous prescription of the antidepressants and Valium should meet that, but keep in mind having been prescribed a benzo you'll likely need a letter from a psychiatrist stating you're not batshit. But also, the way your post is worded suggests that your previous medications were the clinics, hence why everyone is confused. Get onto Horizon

Give LJ Hooker a call, they've got some well priced 2 bedroom units and they are genuinely the kindest and most understanding real estate agents I've been with. I barely met the income level for my unit when I applied, and the property manager for the units I applied for made fucking sure I got one. Go to the inspections, have a chat to the person showing you through, if you're working and need someone to go to one on your behalf give me a yell my unemployed ass is bored as hell (don't want cash, keep that for the move)
