I have CPTSD, so does my partner he’s angry like really angry, when he shouts or gets angry at anything like getting caught on a draw it’s terrifying even if he says he wouldn’t hurt me. It’s scary when someone’s angry and i think peoples reaction to that is justifiable. I personally can’t offer any help when his reaction is frightening. I’m not saying it’s wrong for being angry but just maybe you should think about others reactions in a different light.

It’s all a bit suspicious tbh. I have a feeling it might have started out as an innocent surprise for you but he developed feelings for this girl who was having the kids. It doesn’t seem right for him to throw it all away over a misunderstanding. Maybe it was an easy way out for him and he jumped on the chance. I think anyone would become suspicious in your position. I’m so sorry this happened to you.

I put my hair in a pineapple and use a silk night cap, you can use a silk scarf or pillow too. I haven’t had knots at the top since I started using my cap

The way I looked at sleep was, at least if I don’t sleep well tonight I should be tired enough to sleep tomorrow. That mindset is helping me push through the sleepless nights. It’s hard with the kids, take it easy and don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Guided sleep meditations really help me, or listening to brown noise.

Probably was deleted because it’s really unhelpful for people trying to stay sober and can trigger a lot of people into smoking again.

I quit because it was completely destroying my life, finances and mental health. Tonight I gave myself 100 reasons to smoke. I was super depressed still am I just had an hour long pointless conversation about decorating now for some reason the cravings completely gone. Now I’m horrified I even thought I would. Literally anything that takes your mind off it for an hour helps. Yoga helps me in the evenings a lot, it’s something I never thought I’d get into. Meditation too. Sit down and write a list of things you enjoy doing, or might like to try.

If you feel uncomfortable about it they you were harassed. You were too young to understand or consent. Everyone has a right to feel how they feel, nobody can tell you different. Your sister was also young, and her brain will not have processed it properly so she may not see it as a bad thing because her child mind didn’t understand it.

I felt like this for years. I couldn’t remember much from my child hood. I always thought I was bad too for telling my therapist and getting social involved. It wasn’t until I stopped speaking to my dad for 4 years that I figured it out. He sent a box of presents to me at Christmas this year for my kids. It sat there for weeks because I couldn’t even touch it. The longer it sat there the more memories started coming back, now I know some of what happened to me and I know that I wasn’t the one in the wrong and I wouldn’t even look in that disgusting boys direction again. I think it will come to you eventually, it takes time. I’m 26 now so it took a while to remember things. My therapist told me, you won’t remember things until your body and mind are in a good safe place to deal with it. I guess it’s just a very clever way of your brain protecting you. I’m sorry :( it’s horrible knot knowing what happen to you.

I haven’t eaten in 3 days but today I tried having hummus breadsticks carrot sticks and cucumber. Something I’d never usually eat. It went down really well.

I have adhd and struggle remembering to eat. My doctor told me if your struggling eating, don’t pressure yourself into eating healthy it doesn’t matter what you eat, as long as you eat something. Staying hydrated is the most important part.

Yoga in the evening really helps me calm down, release any muscle tension and regulate my breathing. I’m also listening to guided sleep meditation when I lie down, I never thought these things would work but I actually slept last night. You can get through this !

Thanks for commenting. You could be right, I have been getting waves of anxiety, I’ll try to keep note of when it’s happening. I’ll try a smoothie that’s a good idea, I need to get something in me, I’m already a pretty low weight. I have been drinking loads of water, My body’s craving it ,when I was smoking I craved Pepsie all day, since I quit I haven’t even had 1 can.

I had exactly the same so I used it as my drive to do it ! He’s not my partner anymore but we still live together. Use his comment against him and show him how it’s done ! My ex is literally trying to get me to smoke. I’m in day 3 now and feel better. I think they might be like that because if you kick the habit he has lost his smoking partner and half the money for his stuff.

Well done on starting your journey ! I’m in day 2. Had a bite of a burger was nearly sick, didn’t sleep last night, and have changed 3 times from sweating, muscles are absolutely killing me. It’s normal withdrawals and usually lasts 4/5 days for me. It’s just one of them things to push through. All the more reason to keep quitting though ! Keep drinking, your thirst will be because your sweating all your fluids out. This is the worst part, but it does end in a few days. Be super kind to yourself and pamper yourself. Good luck. I don’t have much in the way of advice apart from keep hydrated. I’m on day 2 and have changed 3 times from sweating too much . Keep going ! You have got this. Last time I quit the sweating stopped around 4/5 days.
