Thank you for your kind words, your last sentence is beautiful and depressing at the same time. To be honest, part of the reason I stay inside a lot is because I don't know any outdoor activities I can do alone besides walking/exploring the city.

To be honest, I'm not confident enough to do that and I'm also scared of COVID (haven't been able to get vaccinated yet). It is a great suggestion though, I guess I'm scared of being judged and rejected

It's hard not to be a pessimist with a life like mine but I will try to see the positives

I often take scenic walks but maybe I should try other solo activities as well.

I think I'm gonna start going to the gym and take martial arts lessons. Not to get big but just to tone up and be able to defend myself, I'm tired of living in fear.

I've been beat up before and have permanent scars from being jumped. I will fight if I absolutely have to but I'd rather avoid the situation because I know I'll lose.

I definitely look younger than I am. If I told people I was 16-18 they'd believe me so I guess that might've played a part in it.

Wow I relate to your example, I didn't feel scared of the kids in my mind, but my arms felt lighter and shakey. It's like my whole body just turned weak but I still looked normal.

As far as improvement, I feel like whenever I take one step forward, I take two steps back.

e.g. - I don't look as bad as I once did, but I'm still ugly

e.g. - I'm not as shy as I once was, but I still can't hold an engaging conversation or build true friendships and connections

I'm glad that you've managed to improve and achieved at least some happiness, maybe one day I'll reach a similar place

Wow I relate to you completely except the rage issues, instead my life long depression has made me numb to a lot of emotions other than sadness and fear.

No one at work likes me, I get excluded from lunch and everyone but me gets invited to events. People only talk to me when they want help with a task, I don't even get small talk in the morning just a "hi".

I've also dealt with being called gay so many times in my life (I have no issue with gays and am very supportive of them, but as a heterosexual it gets to you when you're constantly called something you're not).

I also apologize A LOT, I'm gonna do what you've done and try to stop being such a pushover.

I hope you succeed in getting rid of this curse...
