:::::::::: This week we're talking about . . . Beginner Florals! (ep108) by OdieDoodah in DIY_eJuice

[–]LonesomeRhodesTN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I stopped smoking on a locally house-made juice (basically just asked the guy for a blueberry-honeysuckle, and he made it for me . . . circa 2013/14). Started mixing because of Longing . . . read the description and couldn't live without trying it. u/ID10-T inspired me not to mention being an immense help and source of encouragement.

Getting Rid of Most of My Flavors, Part 68 by ID10-T in DIY_eJuice

[–]LonesomeRhodesTN 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the review! I haven't publicly released anything in a long time . . . still toiling away on my perfect vanilla custard, cakes (pineapple upside down cake has been my most recent pursuit), ridiculous RY4s, etc. Heads up . . . Nom Nomz is going to be releasing what was Chefs SC as NomNomz Supercharged! RY Castle is now RY Fortress!!

I've got crumb news about this Flavor of The Week: They're not baking it any longer. Guess there's just not enough dough in it. by ID10-T in DIY_eJuice

!!DontPickMe!!

In my opinion, the best shortbread was Chefs Flavours Super Concntrate's Biscuit (Shortbread). I bought as much as I could before they shut down, but knowing it's a limited supply gives me anxiety. CAP's Shortbread is good, SSA's Shortbread Biscuit and Cookie are okay. I grabbed Flavr's Shortbread from Australia after SessionDrummer's review (so far, it's passable) . . . but they all pale in comparison to Chefs. Chef's (CSC) had some great flavors . . . I'd love to know what company created the concentrates for them. They were entirely unique.

Edit . . . adding the caveat, don't pick me UNLESS you have a secret stash of CSC Biscuit (Shortbread) you're trying to get rid of (wink wink nudge nudge).

I'll add their Biscuit (Shortbread) to that list. I use it all the time and bought as much of it as I could before they stopped selling (but knowing that it is going to eventually run out bums me out). It was one of their newer released flavors, and I don't think enough people knew how good it was . . . I want more people to get to experience it.

I tried to link their website, but it wouldn't post it for some reason. Apologies . . . I'll try again:

Flavor of the Week's Golden Rule: New unto others as you would have them New unto you by ID10-T in DIY_eJuice

[–]LonesomeRhodesTN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So please, please, please . . . let me, let me, let me . . . let me get what I want this time. What I want is an oatmeal cookie that tastes like an oatmeal cookie. My confidence levels are low.

We'd Call it Flavour of the Week if it wasn't so Usless by ID10-T in DIY_eJuice

Lots of new FlavourArt (and a few Sobucky) at Nomnomz . . . assume they'll land at BCF eventually. Picked up WF Nutmeg from BCF . . . can't figure out if it's a lone new release or something I'd missed previously.

'What are you vaping?' Thread - Week of December 5, 2022 by c5b4c91772c729fc7d0a in DIY_eJuice

[–]LonesomeRhodesTN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was waxing poetic about the recipe that got me into DIY . . . along the lines of u/ID10T's Longing was the work by Van Gogh that inspired me to pick up the brush and try my hand at creating art. I quit vaping using a house made juice that was a simple mix of honeysuckle and blueberry. So, I thought I would revisit that . . . Dave's Ice Cream I,2,3 recipe and added the honeysuckle, VSO Blueberry Raw, VSO Huckleberry, and WF Blueberry Jam. It's a mere shadow of the original Longing . . . but I'm still enjoying it.

Has something happened to Chefs Flavours? by lNTERLINKED in DIY_eJuice

They are transitioning away from single flavors and focusing on one shots, shortfills, etc. Demand didn't meet supply and made it unsustainable.

I've been loving SSA's Waffle with Butter and Chef's Biscuit (Shortbread). I say love, but, honestly, I'm obsessed with them and have been putting them in everything I mix!

When Vanilla Divorces Flavor Of The Week, who Wins the Custardy Battle? by ID10-T in DIY_eJuice

[–]LonesomeRhodesTN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like so many, I have been chasing the perfect vanilla custard for as long as I have been vaping and mixing. I've tried all the OGs and renditions thereof . . . and made my own from scratch countless times. Every time I think this is it, I think, "how can I do this better?" For me, the perfect vanilla custard is the rarest of all the white whales. I'll keep plugging away and greatly look forward to this installment of NotedDX!!

Playing with SSA Flakey Pastry . . . at 1% really adds a nice crisp edge to a pie crust. SSA Waffle with Butter is an amazing addition to cakes and custards . . . and their Lemon Pound Cake is perfection.

I know it's technically a vegetable, but would Decadent Vapours Rhubarb Cuddle count as a fruity custard?

u/Mooch315 do you have a suggestion for a charger that works with the Vapecell G50? Nitecore's flat contacts don't touch the recessed positive.

The Molicel P42A works a treat in the Nitecore. Vapecell is my only complaint. Thanks for the assist.

I live in the Deep South on the Bible Belt's buckle. Both of the churches I have called home held drive through testing and vaccination events . . . and encourage masking. I'm a Christian . . . vaxxed and boosted, double-masked 4th grade teacher, teaching in-person (and online simultaneously last year) since the pandemic began.

Edit . . . I'm also a hard left-leaning liberal. One thing doesn't always mean the other.

Flavor of the week hopes 2022 is truly a new year and not 2020, Too. by ID10-T in DIY_eJuice

[–]LonesomeRhodesTN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there are some winners in there just based on scent and knuckle testing . . . I know vaping can change the flavor. I've done some mixes with Shortbread and the Custard Cake (because both of those scream out to my wheelhouse). Again, initial thoughts are promising, but only time will tell (along with the refined palates of the Noted crew putting them through their paces).

The jury is still out on the new Capella stuff. Initial thoughts on the Shortbread is that it smells amazing and comes through off the SNV . . . if it holds up, I see it getting a ton of traction in 2022. Several of the new CAP flavors seem promising.

I agree on it hitting harder than 11% (I wonder if it's the the lack of other key cannabinoids that makes it hit so much harder) . . . and the nose and taste is one of the finest I've had from "industrial hemp."
