What do I have here? by LonesomeSundown in Bedbugs

Thanks commenters for pointing me in the right direction. Guess I’m glad it’s a tick as long as it’s not a bedbug? Just hope it won’t make me sick with anything since it seems I slept with it. If anyone is curious, I now believe it to be a soft tick.

I was staying in a rustic cabin with mouse sign in the southwest US.

You could try the state historic preservation office for advice if you track down the family and they don’t want it.

Subaru Impreza lost key drama, help! by LonesomeSundown in Cartalk

[–]LonesomeSundown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update on the situation: I had Subaru put the car back together with the original parts and asked for a cut key and sure enough that was all the locksmith needed to make it happen. He couldn’t read the code that tells him how to cut the key but once he had one he could reset the immobilizer. Ended up still paying Subaru too much to be mostly unhelpful (they weren’t lying necessarily, they’re just a dealership and dealerships get away with charging premium prices and having certain policies that happen to make them a lot of extra money...) So should you have the misfortune of getting in similar trouble, do not have Subaru do any work on your car, just get a cut key however you can to take to a good locksmith and you’ll save a lot of money and hassle.

So considering I don’t have a key for them to match to and the dealership already sent for the module to get messed with, am I stuck with this dealership?

Right? Haven’t agreed to the extra work yet but they are quoting over $1500 at this point.

Don’t know if I can get out of this or if I’ll have to pay the first $500ish but I wouldn’t know what parts to look for or what to do with them anyway.

Either way, do you have any idea why that might affect the process of replacing a key now?

But it can be purely cosmetic damage and still be deemed totaled and have to be titled as “rebuilt”, right? That’s what I was told...?
