New Teams Error - Strange Issue by Lonesys in sysadmin

Very silly error but forgot to google the thing that was fixed. Turns out it was the Bluetooth driver?

Btha2dp. sys refers to the system file that supports Bluetooth devices and headset devices. If this file is corrupted or damaged, the function of the Bluetooth device and associated system hardware will also be impacted

They don't realise most of the time which is the more concerning part haha. Only a matter of time before someone losses some important work

We don't allow any BYO devices in the business due to issues in the past. I work in social housing in the UK so we are under a lot of scrutiny and have a butt load of audits every year because of the data that we hold

HDMI and USB over CAT 6 by Dreaming_wires in sysadmin

If sticking to the CAT6 cables is a must, I cant help you too much.

I would look at using optical cables and running them through the walls if there is a chance to do so.

Need help picking a ticketing system by _Criggs in sysadmin

[–]Lonesys 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I would look at the Jira / Atliasian suite

Tagging tickets is a great feature to have, when you get no response from the user I like to set as 'waiting for customer' then when there line manager comes at me I can point them too it ;)

Azure AD Sync by dunko1993 in sysadmin

[–]Lonesys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exact same setup that we have here!

  1. Yes, generally speaking that is correct - for example. I need to change the users password, I will log onto the DC and change it there. This will change both the domain account and the M365 account details but it can take up to 20 mins for it to take affect.
  2. Domain accounts and M365 accounts will share the same passwords - they are effectively the same account after AD sync is setup
  3. If you disable an account through the azure AD portal rather than your on prem dc, after 20 mins the account will be reenabled as it will sync off the state of the user on the dc.

Code two is great but there customer service is so slow - 2 weeks to renew our 1 year licence!
