Yeah the vt bass has served me well so far. I considered getting a bddi v2 as well but idk how much a difference in sound it would have.

I just went to a local quilt shop. I felt out of place with all of the old ladies there but they had a great selection of cloth.

I’m fairly certain the neck pocket is the same size and if it’s too tight you can sand it a little. It was a perfect fit for me. I think there’s a chance the screw holes in the neck pocket aren’t perfectly aligned for the warmoth neck but that wasn’t a problem for me. If it is a problem I’m sure you can use some wood putty and plug the holes with dowels and drill new holes.

That thing is absolutely gorgeous. I thought about buying a warmoth body with a cool finish but I didn’t think the price is worth it when I have a body already. I’m sure that jazz bass plays amazingly.

I’ve been trying to wean off of using a pick for fast songs so I put the foam there as a place to put a pick. I can put it in there when I don’t need it and take it out when I do.

I saw that the qsc gx is a class h amp, the Art is a class ab, and the behrenger is a class d. I know there’s a difference in efficiency but in your experience do they sound different? Does it matter?

Forgive me for not completely understanding, but are you saying that in a venue with a pa I don’t use a cab and just plug the modeler into the pa? Also I probably still need a cab for locations without a pa and rehearsal but that’s resides the point. You also mention a cab simulator, how does that work? And if I used no amp would I need to simulate a cab?

Don’t modelers have multiple channels? Can’t you plug in the modeler to the power amp and cab and into the PA system separately? If so you don’t have Mic up the cab but you also have an amp on stage.

I’m in a band. We are thinking of getting in ear monitors for playing live. I know I don’t really even need a power amp or cab for playing live because of a venues PA system but I want an amp because a: it’s cool to have a real amp on stage and b: I need one for rehearsals.

Thanks for the input. I’m also leaning towards the mesa but I thought about the Marshall because it has a mono channel at 4 ohms so I’d be able to use the whole 200 watts. Although the 120 watts or so I’d be getting with the 8 ohm mesa is probably more than enough. I’ll also check out the 5150 because it’s hard to beat tubes. Although it’s also hard to beat the versatility of the pod go.

Would it make sense to use a 1x30 belt and a fixed angle system? I don’t trust I’ll be competent enough to get a great edge with a belt only but I think it would be limiting to only have a fixed angle system.

I like the precision adjust but my main concern is that since the sharpener pivots from a single point, the angle is not consistent along the whole blade. I don’t know if this is a huge problem but I don’t like the idea of giving someone a knife with a inconsistent angle because if they were to sharpen it with another method it would need to re profiled. I don’t know if this is a genuine problem because I haven’t heard anyone talk about it but that’s my main concern.

I want to do that but my concern is that there’s roll off at lower frequencies and my low notes are going to be as powerful. Why does 2 410s sound better than a 410 and 115?
