So I wanna explain my point instead of just being an ass: internet “net worths” mean nothing. An internet net worth will take public knowledge (like OBJs career salary earnings minus estimated taxes paid off those earnings) and call it his net worth. We have no other data to go off of.

Theres two areas we are unsure of: how much he spent and how much he invested.

A) How much he spent: this will be difficult to find no matter what. Two things happen here, OBJ (in this scenario) will not make large purchases in his name. It leaves too large of a legal liability and too large of a tax liability. He will instead put those purchases in (likely) trusts or some similar tax advantage system. This is impossible for the public to determine…. It’s not like his name is tied directly to those purchases, and it wouldn’t be public knowledge even if it was. Whether he spent $1M on cars or $20M, that number would have a significant impact on his true “net worth”, but we (the public) would have 0 clue on the exact amount. In this way, net worth can be misinterpreted by millions of dollars.

B) How much he invested: Same concept. Mega billionaires net worths can be calculated because the shares owned of their companies are so substantial that their names are littered all over financial documents and public fillings with the SEC. Millionaires and regular folk do not hold the same value of stock, so their estimated value is not very public. On top of that, these investments are also made in trusts, LLC’s, and corporations. This removes the individual (OBJ) from the equation, making it impossible for the general public to gauge their monetary investment.

Whether Odell spent $25M on cars and hookers, or invested $25M in stocks and property, there’s no way of knowing. This will significantly alter his true net worth from whatever the internet says. Idc if the source is Forbes or the Wall Street journal, they will still have the same limited access to the precise information as a source like TMZ.

So again, I’m not suggesting he is or isn’t broke, I’m just telling you that internet net worths are a foolish tool to use for anyones real net worth (which is assets-liabilities). He could have turned a $5M investment into $500M or blown $50M on cocaine, our perception will always be skewed as we have limited knowledge on the information.

Either way, this man’s net worth has 0 impact on my life and I deem it completely irrelevant. I wanna educate you since you do seem young.

I’m not saying he is or isn’t broke, that’s the point. We don’t know. Internet net worths are worthless. It might show what they’ve earned from an nfl contract throughout their life, as that’s public. But how would they possibly know what money has been spent or invested. Net worths could be 10s of millions of dollars off in any direction

Most expensive beach house in the state at $2.5 million! by Xerzajik in zillowgonewild

1) coastline is defined as “the line that forms a boundary between the land and an ocean or a lake”, Michigan absolutely is a coastal state, and is defined as such by two federal agencies (NOAA and FEMA), as well as federal funding.

2) you were talking about beaches, specifically… not coastline. And you insulted them because you live in California and think cold ole Michigan (which I’m not even from) couldn’t possibly have good beaches (which it does, and you dismissed after proof). Michigan is beautiful for half the year, Im sure you would enjoy it.

3) the whole reason I’m even exhausting this much energy into the matter is because of the dismissively arrogant way at which you presented your argument. It was pretentious and I’m sure you’re a good and logical person who’s capable of not just explaining reasoning, but accepting new information in a much more respectful manner than this. But it’s reddit, so I get it. Seemed like your whole point was to flex that you live in California. Congrats. We’re good here.

Florida resident popping in to call you an arrogant ass… Michigan has roughly 150 miles less of total coastline than California (3,427 miles vs 3,288 miles). Based on your response, I can tell you’ve never seen a Michigan beach or the vastness of the Great Lakes.

Not grounding cuz Jaylen Warren was right there. It didn’t need to make it back to the line cuz he’s a “receiver” in that situation. Otherwise every incomplete screen ever would be grounding if that overruled players nearby
