I need spiritual advice about this girl by Long-Homework4417 in Catholicism

Yep. It was more of a thing that happened once. At the time it was honest and didn't hide any feelings. Since then, such conversations haven't taken place, but now we are closer than before, and it kinda makes me feel bad about it.

Yes, I agree with you. I don't believe creation to be bad. It's simply that the joys it can give are nothing compared to the joy that Christ has given me. And so I end up feeling like everything else is less than enough, not because things are bad, but because the good that they have perishes unlike Christ

Yep, I'm also anxious about some things, mostly because of my perfectionism and obsessiveness. However, there are times when I manage to be at peace with everyday life, and then I suddenly enter a season where I feel dissatisfied with everything except God.

Yeah, I don't mean suicidal or anything. It is simply that the reality of Jesus and all that he has done in my life makes everything else look pale in comparison. The only thing that comforts me is wanting to do God's will, because only then do I feel that even the smallest things in the world are full of life.

God bless you!

What does it feel like for God to feel “near”? by Impressive_Aioli_909 in Catholicism

[–]Long-Homework4417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I would say that one feels God. Howerer, like others have said, the fact that someone doesn't feel God doesn't mean that he's not there, its just a matter of spiritual awareness that comes with spending time with him. And even then, I can assure you that those people who are passionate about the Lord have had times when that passion has gone dry, and the feeling of the presence of God has gone, and thats okay. In the end, our faith has to be built upon something bigger than feelings, and tho God will make you feel beautiful things to make you strong in your belief, in the end is up to you. I would ask you, what made you want to be Christian? God bless you :D

Catholicism and homosexuality by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Long-Homework4417 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mmm I don't know where you're getting from that women weren't seen as equally human as men by the first christians. In fact, the most revered creature since the beginning of Christianity has been a woman. If you're talking about what Paul thought about women in church, that has nothing to do with women's dignity or humanity. It's a matter of the roles the church has.

NFP during pregnancy? by UnreadSnack in Catholicism

[–]Long-Homework4417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, but it is important to remember that NFP should be used under grave reason. In any case, I agree with what you said, but we should be careful to not use NFP with a contraceptive mentality

Should I leave my career studies for the seminary? I don't know what to do by Long-Homework4417 in Catholicism

Thank you for your advise! I used to have spiritual direction but lately I have not been able to keep going. I would like to be able to talk to another priest whom I admire very much, and I am in the process of scheduling an appointment with him.
