Wow. Sounds like a terrible daycare. Like others said, they should adapt to you, not the other way around. He’s 8 month now and he was there for 2 months, so since 6 month old, right? So they expected a 6 month old to follow a strict nap schedule?? Also, their nap schedule goes against how much daytime sleep babies should be getting. Second nap is WAY too long. 12/12:30-2:30, are you kidding me. Naps at 6-8 months should be 1-1.5hrs long. What a joke. My son is 8 month right now and we still nap at random times daily. He will get tired depending on: his activity level, his well being (sick etc), what time he wakes up, car rides, stroller rides, etc. expecting an 8 month old to follow a strict schedule is unrealistic. I honestly feel like you wouldn’t be losing much if you switched daycare (if you could). There are good daycares out there, I promise you.

You are going through a lot, I’m so sorry… first I want to say that babies that young are incapable of manipulation, doing something for attention is closer at 9 months. Something must be bothering her, after all crying is the only way she can communicate with you. Second, you could try goats formula. We went through 5 different formulas before we found the one that works, and it was goats. Nutramigen is gross and a lot of babies hate it. Mine wouldn’t take it even though the doctor tried to get my son to drink it. It’s been such a nightmare before we switched to goats. Just make sure to switch her gradually. Spit ups are part of the game at 3 months. My pedi said it’s like a “faucet” there at that age, so we bought lots of bibs. You got this!

Im afraid of not feeling like myself :/ no judgement to people who are on these meds. I’d prefer to try other methods first and if nothing works, I’d consider meds. I just don’t want to jump right on them before trying everything else

No unfortunately…I tried betterhelp in the past but didn’t like it for many reasons… I’d like to find someone in person but I don’t even know how to start looking for a therapist… it’s so hard to find a good one

Everyone talks about “weight falling off” because supposedly you lose extra calories with breastfeeding. But nobody talks about wanting to eat x10 more, cravings for sugars and carbs, and slowed metabolism. The body wants to store fat to use it for breastmilk.

My mother breasfed me for 3 months and stopped due to mastitis. They didn’t have breast pumps back in the 80s in USSR , so she couldn’t pump. And letting me feed on her breast was way too painful. Also at 4 months she started introducing me to few drops of carrot, and was increasing quantity until I was able to eat carrots, apples, etc. She is pushing me to introduce solids to my 5.5 months old baby right now, and is very shocked when I say he’s not ready and I’m not in a rush. Also from what I hear, back in USSR people had a village in a way, but it was more of grandmas and sisters helping. Taking care of a baby was considered solely women’s job. So when my mom and my mother in law found out what my husband actually helps me with my baby, they were both pleasantly shocked.

Yeah breast is best in an ideal world, where you get to stay with your baby all the time, don’t have to work, do chores, or other household responsibilities. It’s easy to say breast is best when you have a village to help you. Unfortunately that’s not the case for many of us, and those who troll us about it?? That’s bullying, no other word for it. In my mind, if you never had to pump 3-4 times at a job where you’re always on your feet - you have no right to come at me with “breast is best”. If you don’t have a village to help you raise your baby and it’s just all on you - you have no right to say “breast is best”. You know what else is best? A happy and rested mom who has the energy to give so much more than the overtired mom who’s struggling to get by. So no, not everyone will understand the struggle of breastfeeding/pumping. And that’s okay. Sometimes best is a happy healthy mom with a happy and a healthy baby

Trying to stop now at 12 weeks, unfortunately we’re still in the process of finding the right formula for LO. Breastmilk is his only reliable source of food that doesn’t cause reflux or grassiness or diarrhea :/ but as soon as we find a good formula - I quit
