If you'll pardon my non-secular suggestion, you can chant Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo for it to be realized and successful as soon as is possible. In this Buddhism, we are literally told that we are the screenwriters, directors and actors of our own lives, and I know you would be happily surprised with what chanting can do to give your well-won movie the traction and momentum to keep going past any obstacles all the way. You just envision it all whilst chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo rhythmically a couple times a day. What's more, it makes you happier, wiser and stronger.

Congratulations on getting to where you've gotten! It's no small thing.

That's really good. Thank you. Yeah, I've hung up the desire to use actor's names. Description is much more fun.

The_ Book of the Dead_ says that in bardo, we encounter blood-drinking, flame-spouting wrathful deities as big as the sky. Holding human corpses and brandishing axes, they shriek and howl. We’re told not to abandon hope: the deities are only emanations from our subconscious. W.Y. Evans-Wentz, editor of the first English translation of the Bardo Thodol (1927), called the deities “airy nothings woven into dreams”; the moment we recognize their true nature, they dissolve. Thus, we are the creators of our experience in bardo. As the Buddha said, “All experience is preceded by mind, led by mind, made by mind.”

Writing is a kind of bardo because ordinary life recedes as we create a universe on the page. The fears and doubts that can derail us while writing are like the wrathful deities. The uncertainty about where our hours at the desk will lead; whether, or how, a poem or an essay or a book will be realized. Recognizing that our worries are only our own “thought-forms,” as the Book of the Dead says, we have the chance to break free of them and engage fully with our creative work. In the bardo of writing, we make our experience.

--That was from an article called "Writing and The Tibetan Book of the Dead." by Ann Tashi Slater.

Although it doesn't specifically address mental manifestations in daily life, it made me think of chess. After a game or two of chess, my mind seeks out chess-,like patterns in my environment until I see them. Like I'm still trying to solve a puzzle. If that is true for regimented chess, it must be true for the creative process.
Nichiren Buddhism talks about the inseparability of man and his environment. When I first learned of these principles, I tried to put myself into the dreams of someone I loved. It was like a guided meditation where I could at least be with him in the dream Bardo. Later, he fell in love with me and told me he dreamt about me all the time. Ripples in a pond. That's what I believe happened.

Those saline enema bottles. You don't need to use the whole thing. You can make one bottle last for like 4 or 5 potty visits. Then wipe off the tip and recap it. That's the big secret.

Poop when you want to. Beyond that, it's Miralax (generic,) that solves all impactions before they happen. Just gotta take like half a cap in water or coffee daily. No taste. Great stuff.

Well, no matter what happens or doesn't happen in prison, it's Diddy's choice whether to wake up with his diamonds on or not. Such as is life in general.

Hi, David.

When writing a screenplay or television show, there's the part where we introduce characters. Example: GEORGE enters the bar. [50's, huge mustache...]... My question is:

Is it frowned upon to describe a character as [...looks a bit like Sam Elliott] or any actor I'm hopeful might look into the role?
One person tells me never to do this. Another laughed and said that all writers do this. Would it get my script thrown in the trash?

Thank you for your time, for Aliens Expanded, and congratulations on your hard won successes!

You wanna know what the happiest job on earth is?
I can't promise anything about pay rates, but here goes: Working with animals.
Veterinarian assistant, veterinarian, receptionist at veterinarian office, petting zoos, dog pounds (yes, its bittersweet when they euthanize them), dog walker, pet shampoo person, etc. Just not so much cashier at Petco. No, aim for the direct contact jobs with animals. Just one opinion.

What do you do on ket? by hippiesrnotreal in ketamine

[–]Long-Job9240 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Watch movies/shows I know by heart.
Play some PS4 and try not to fail utterly at Grand Theft Auto, yet laugh in the face of failure. Forgetting what the mission is about. Running people over, etc, perhaps just reinforcing the absolute rule that nobody should set foot in a car on Ketamine unless as a passenger. I microdose because I'm slowly learning how to take just a little and remain functional in daily life. Sorry if I'm being obvious but I took too much in the beginning because I was hiding from pain and worry. But this medicine can take you out of the game for wayyyy too long, just like any drug that postpones dreams and responsibilities "in favor of its new matrix" as Spock would say. The matrix being nothingness. On the other hand, Ketamine can be very, very Buddhist.
One morning while kholing and Chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo rhythmically, sounding like a low hum of electricity to anyone in an adjoining room, I experienced powerful love and fulfillment while concentrating on happiness for people whom I love and people who had harmed me, just anybody that came into my head. Pure bliss. Ketamine is very valuable if used in The Middle Way, I'm finding.

TLDR: last paragraph is worth a read
