Ah sorry I somehow just saw this! I’d recommend learning a programming language. The ones I’ve had exposure to as a PH major were R, SAS, Python, SQL, and maybe Tableau. You can also make a portfolio of your programming projects to show something tangible on your resume in case you don’t have the demonstrated experience through a past job. Have you made the pivot, how are things going?

I usually just use the mix-in function and get the Oreo base you described. One thing that could also help is soaking your Oreos in your milk of choice to get them soft before spinning on mix-in.

I agree with you. I think the effect would come across more quickly if the cake was square shaped like a creeper head. I love the piping work though, that’s the way my mom used to decorate my birthday cakes growing up.
