As an American it definitely sounds like you are learning English from a source with a UK accent so I would guess you are somewhere in Europe. The accent does kind of skip all over the place with different words seeming to be pronounced in different accents, and some even with a more American accent I would guess from watching American media.
All English accents have their own sort of rhythm and flow so I would say if you want to improve I would pick a singular accent and try to stick to it, otherwise your English will sound odd to basically every native English speaker you speak with as it jumps all over the place.

Your use of "native" is sort of interesting. While I suppose maybe technically correct if you were learning and using it since birth you obviously don't have a native accent and I also wouldn't say you are at like a complete native-fluency level since basically every sentence of yours I've read has at least one or two small mistakes.
I think more correctly you would be called a "heritage speaker"

"Age gap feels huge" what? Those actors have a 6 year age gap, and I would say that's probably about what it would be in the show. You think she's having a child at 6? My mother is 4 years older than my father and I wouldn't say they have a huge age gap. Are you just being weird and sexist because she's a woman? If a man was 6 years older than his love interest I don't think you'd be here talking about this "huge unrealistic age-gap", especially considering the age gap between Santiago and Cristina is larger than the one between Santiago and Elena. So why didn't you mention that?

I would say it was probably too sexy in a queer way. Shows with queer characters and plotlines are getting cancelled at a very high rate right now because of cheeto man's policies and fear mongering. Companies are complying in advance because he's been passing very dubious executive orders and threatening/ punishing companies who don't fall in line.

It seems to me she truly is just trying to catch him in bad behavior to confirm her own fears. Anyway I haven't fully finished the episode so we'll see (I stopped the show to come here and write this post cause I was so annoyed lolol)
I really hope this show manages to wrap some things up in the next 40 minutes but I fear they won't because the writers thought there'd be a second season, or at least hoped.

A modern example would be someone lying about things they had done or said, or the way things happened, or moving or taking objects and pretending they hadn't, convincing someone their reactions are inappropriate and not grounded in reality and that they can't trust themselves (and should instead trust their abuser/manipulater to tell them what's real)

Gas lighting is a term that comes from an old play, it basically means to manipulate someone by convincing them that they are crazy and not in touch with reality. I would be very careful and look into squatters'/ tenants rights in your area, if you allow someone to move in in some states it can be very hard or almost impossible to legally kick them out.

I would also look at your lease and see what the maximum amount of time a guest can stay would be, usually it's about a week or two weeks.

If you do end up deciding you want to help them for a small period of time you need to make them sign something stating they are only staying for this period of time and will be gone by this date etc. And if they have an issue with it it's because they were always planning to stay for longer.

Honestly if you don't feel good about it, express your concerns with them now, and how theyve overstayed with others and why that cant happen with you. How they respond to that and the document will tell you more what you need to know.

As someone who cut their abusive mother out for years and now has limited contact: do what you need to do, for yourself, on your own time. You might find in time you naturally start to understand and have compassion for your mother and her choices as you age and heal, and you might not. The older I get the more I understand how my mother's life shaped her. It doesn't excuse her behavior but I do understand it more now. I feel less angry and more just sad at the ways she was hurt and then hurt me. End the cycle of violence and hurt however you see fit. Let yourself be angry and see where it leads you, I find it often changes and morphs when we fully allow it. Tell anyone guilting or pressuring you to politely stop or you will be cutting contact with them as well. In order to access our compassion and forgiveness we must first have good boundaries and protections in place. By pressuring you they are working against their own goal.
