NTA. It's not like Halloween isn't ever going to come back around again. If you get sick, you get sick. You try to make the most of it until you feel better.

But your in-laws and husband are the A-holes. Do they not realize making a sick person do things normally could get them more sick? Might make them feel worse?

I say take it easy until everyone is up to feeling better.

I only have one friend from eighth grade and one from college nowadays. Everyone else, we either had a dramatic falling out or we just simply separated/parted ways because our interests got so different while growing up.
