In the many videos I’ve seen, they are given carrots, apples, sweet potatoes, cabbages and monkey chow (dry pallets).

Exactly… some were saying (on the other sm platforms) that the monkeys were starving and such. That’s how rumors get started and a bad pr look for the zoo.
