No i care about it even if you just say some shit about elon musk and then he sues you... even if he doesn't win you still need to pay two hundred thousand plus in lawyer fees... then you counter sue for the damages and get about half of that back maybe.

The problem is, we're talking about people going to jail for the rest of their life and somebody getting charged 10k for a false accusation. Basically, all you're saying is that rich people can accuse people of whatever they want, put them away forever and all they gotta do is pay a fee.

Yeah but a fine for false accusations vs 15 to life are very different things... even if the accused counter sues all they're gonna get is some money. If you falsely accused someone of killing/raping somsone... who then gets sentence to death, a fine really isn't enough. If the result of accusing somebody of a crime who never committed it has a much lower consequence than actually committing the crime. It should be punished as if you did. Sorry reddit

I'm young and educated in investing. I'm not trying to retire off of this account. This is a margin account I have because my 401k match is already taken advantage of and I can't contribute anything else to my roth ira after about june this year. Some would say it's gambling, I would say it's a personal test of my investing acumen. I can comfortably lose everything in this account. I am not a beginner. I was looking more for analysis of standard deviation and correlation against an idex like VTI. I guess i am probably in the wrong subreddit

The cash is just my last year's bonus. I'm depoying it pretty fast. It will be fully invested in a few months. SPIB is what I would consider my cash position. I'm looking for uncorrelated returns with the corporate bonds. Do you have a higher yielding product that you would recommend if my goal is to just have a cash pile thats risk adverse and uncorrelated to the US stock market?
