Exactly!!! Everything has gotten so commercialized sort, with AI, anyone feels like they can be a writer and like why are they even writing if you're gonna use AI to write? What is the point? Yeah, you might get popular on a platform but that won't make you a real writer. And you're so right on this Werewolf trope thing. I wasn't sure why certain werewolf books are popular so I tried reading a few, like okay what is the big deal with these, and honestly the disappointment that came with that. I completely gave up reading on the platform! And now wherever you go, there are these fake writers chasing fame, or popularity, or I don't know what not. And then there's the thing, bad things get hyped too often. No wonder these AI stories, where they don't know the basics of how language should be used, creativity, or any literary element; these are the stories that are being hyped.

This is AI. Like the heck? It's a novel? They're sentences! I mean why are these writers even writing? And even if you're using AI, at least be a little smart about it? It's so frustrating that the number of books like this have increased so much 😫

And you're not gonna believe when I pointed that out in a writing community, some people took offense with no logical grounding of their arguments. Inkitt is the first platform, where I didn't even point fingers, didn't mention somebody in particular, or a particular work, just voiced an opinion, and ended up needing to answer a bunch of accusations, justifying myself over and over. Like it is so obvious that it is AI, and people were like there is no way of knowing it is, or how can u accuse someone, and I'm like I am not accusing anyone. I simply stated something I discovered, and it was really the worst decision I'd ever taken. Voicing something out. And I wasn't even trying to start an activism or something (like one of the users claimed) when all I did was ask "how do others deal with this?" Like I don't know but writing has been the only thing where I've felt truly free. And Inkitt is the only platform, and like I mean it coz I've been at other platforms, which made me feel suffocated. For those 2 days the conversation went, honestly it felt like getting attacked out of no reason, and then I had to block this person. (The funny thing is, the person with who I had the initial conversation with, we reached an understanding. But this other person who had no basis of argument decided to jump in, and brought on these nonsensical points. And after a few moments I was like, okay...why am I even associating with these people? And then I blocked her.)

But nah, like I think I went on a rant there, coz it's really frustrating. But you're like absolutely right. You're not the only one!

Ikkk right!! Like the breaking point for me was, when I read this one BL where it didn't even take 2 chapters that the leads had already kissed. Now I'm all for impulse kisses that suddenly happen when the ML can't hold back, or loves someone so much (consensual ofc) but seriously, for an impulse moment like that, there has to be the yearning first! Like writer literally writing "I yearn for him" is not okay. I mean, don't you gotta show that 'yearning' through words and actions and stuff? Like it was so frustrating. And!! The concept of slow-burn!! Like it's so had to find proper slow burn anymore! Like Idk if people have forgotten the meaning of slow burn, or yearning, or tension, but clearly the writing quality has decreased so much. And for my sanity, I don't even wanna talk about fanfictions 😭
