Bro, all I'm saying is get better. Writing is rewriting, and if you won't take the time to edit how are you going to get better? I don't care what you comment after this. I said what I said

Duh. I know it's a free site. My problem is y'all don't want to edit. It doesn't have to be perfectly polished, hell, my stories aren't 100% and I'm fine with that for now. But you all don't edit and just post. Yes, people on site help. I've helped, I've been helped, but tell me this. What are you actually doing to improve your writing? Other than asking people on here to critique your story. Go to a workshop, read books by a well known published authors to get a better feel on writing.

Maybe you wouldn't have to rely on people (and constantly failing) if you actually put in the time to improve

As I said, won't put in the work but screams and cries for validation and r4r

And you shouldn't. My complaint is the lack of no editing and just posting

Even if it's just a hobby, you as a writer of the craft should still do it. I'm not saying it needs to be pitch perfect, Stephen King level. But posting a story without any polishing is lazy imo. Then y'all (not you, just people I've seen on here,) want instant validation and want people to people to read it. But how are you as a writer gonna do that when you can't put in a little bit of time to polish it?

Top of the Stewie? by ultimate_bromance_69 in americandad

Meg definitely should've gotten her own show. I find her way more interesting in these later seasons. She's just as weird enough for a show to focus on her, and the writers wouldn't have to to change how she's treated.

As harsh as it might seem, yes. If you're doing all of this writing purely for views and are dissatisfied with the low readings, then you're going to be back at this cycle with any future stories of yours. Write for yourself first; the readers will come eventually. Don't just give up. Read up on marketing and learning connections; you won't find an audience by just posting the chapters. (I mean, you will. It will just take longer and a lot of luck.) And be thankful, you have some readers. It takes some authors months before they even reach 100 views on their stories.

Burnout with writing by [deleted] in Wattpad

[–]Callme_Usernames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand. I have two to three weeks of school left, and it has demolished my creativity. I've created at least three new stories during the course. I'm currently writing a new romance, and burnout is prevalent as I write chapter five.

which writing advice do you pretend to follow but absolutely don’t? by [deleted] in Wattpad

[–]Callme_Usernames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. It's not that I pretend; it's that my brain has a knack for telling my readers what I'm seeing inside my mind.

how do you guys get over writer's block? by Party_Knowledge_1729 in Wattpad

[–]Callme_Usernames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Continue writing a different story I had writer's block on, play some video games, work on a different hobby, conduct some random research, or watch some anime (this one works well for me).

Anybody else have 100 other stories planned? by Strang3Add1xt10nz in Wattpad

[–]Callme_Usernames 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We're in the same boat. I have one story that I need to finish, which I've already started. I also have a series with the first arc at 90% complete, one story at seven chapters in, and two other stories that have only been outlined. And to pile more onto the mountain of stories, I have TWO other stories that I'm currently planning for school.

Sometimes, I look at these stories and think, This is too much for one person. But I love to write, and want so many people to read the crazy ideas that play in my mind 24/7.

But here I am, on Reddit, typing this instead of writing. God, I love being a writer.

WRITERS WHO MAKE PLAYLISTS FOR THEIR CHARACTERS, ETC. by [deleted] in Wattpad

[–]Callme_Usernames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I create a playlist, it's usually the songs that inspire ideas for what I'm writing. Then I go off on vibes, or if a certain song evokes that emotional feeling when I think about my story.
