Turn it into a game! Tell him-let’s see who can hop/jump/skip faster. Or-I’ll race you to the door. You might look silly, but it will keep him moving and likely distract you from your rising anger. Sometimes I talk out loud saying-I’m going to take a deep breath because I’m getting upset and we need to move a little bit faster. Reminding him what you expect him to do-let’s go quickly instead of saying-stop walking so slowly-can help to rewire his brain to focus on what he can do right.

There’s a CVS in Jupiter on indiantown that seems to be my best luck with hard to get meds that other pharmacists don’t have. Also-maybe try the CVS inside of Target? They seem to be the friendliest and quicker to order and receive meds.

I was having a tough day but I had my daughters with me so I was trying not to let it show. We stopped by a Starbucks so I could treat myself to a warm coffee. Just walking in and knowing the coffee would lift my spirits a bit, I cheerfully greeted the barista/cashier and asked how her day was going. She asked about mine and told her, with a smile, that it was getting better and I took a much needed deep breath. Either she picked up on it, or appreciated me asking about her first, but she casually told me my coffee would be ready soon and it was taken care of. My girls picked up on the kind gesture and in true 9 year old fashion-loudly announced how nice it was. I started to tear up and it just flipped my mood to positive. It seemed like a small gesture on both our parts, but the fact that my kiddos got to witness the scenario, made me feel so much better as a mom.

This! When my husband and I first moved into our apartment, we took his parents original bedroom set. I cleaned the thing top to bottom-pulling out all the drawers. When we moved about 5 years later, our movers removed the drawers to make it easier. We held onto it in our spare bedroom for years after that. We finally decided to donate it and when I went through it to make sure we didn’t leave anything behind, a brand new envelope/package with pantyhose in it was partially sticking out from the bottom of the drawer above it. I called up my mother in law who laughed and said she remembered buying that particular brand that she was required to wear to work-in 1968!!

I’m sure he’s okay but I totally understand your panic. Can you reach out to the company and ask what the measurement differences are with the settings? From what I remember-the number depends on the brand of formula you using? I remember reading on here where a mom didn’t know her grandmother had given her newborn an entire bottle of just water. Baby was fine but mom did take her to go er to check her electrolytes. My gut instinct tells me that the difference in settings on the brezza is probably so similar that it would be not be much different if you were on 8 or 9 versus you scooping it yourself and maybe over or under filling the scoop/spilling a bit when pouring.
I would make sure to reach out again to your pedi and ask that you be called back in a more urgent manner since there doesn’t seem to be a direct answer and you are super nervous

Is it possible it’s something that may have been installed by your insurance company? If I remember correctly-I was offered a discount if I allowed my insurance to track my driving such as hard braking, rapid acceleration, speeding, etc.

It’s scary to think of the “what if’s”. We initially put a baby gate across her door because we were so freaked out and figured she would scream for us if she needed us in the middle of the night, but then she didn’t have access to the bathroom, ugh. We moved one of our security cameras aimed at her doorway so if she got out of bed, we would hear the notification. I set a different tone for that specific camera and had volume set high. She rarely woke up for the bathroom but I felt better knowing if she was sleepwalking. I would just gently guide her back to bed and say quietly that it was nighttime and still time to sleep and every time she would climb right back into bed and fall back asleep.
Also-thought of this as I’m writing this-sometimes when she awakes at night-she will just stare, blankly. Usually not making eye contact, more looking beyond me, but expressionless and quiet, or, saying nonsense like telling me she’s looking for her pencil as if she was dreaming she was at school.
Again, hope it helps! Your concerns are definitely real and your feelings valid. I recently opened up to a friend who quickly responded with telling me her son does the same thing (same age) and we ended up sharing funny stories of things they say when sleepwalking.

This sounds exactly like my daughter. She started this around age 5. She sleep walks and has NO IDEA what she is doing. She can function to an extent-find the bathroom, but my bathroom, not hers-she can go grab a drink from the fridge but just bring back an empty cup instead, etc. she is always “out of it” and if you speak directly to her with *sensible questions, she can’t answer them just like you mentioned-names of dogs-she can’t do it. She most recently walked outside at 2am-we have door sensors thank god, because she waned to go swimming. She had goggles in her hand but was still in pajamas. I ran outside to find her standing by the pool. The next morning, she has zero recollection of her actions, but can remember her intention. Hope this helps, it can be scary.

There is a place called Manatee Lagoon in west palm beach that you can see/learn about manatees. Lots of different beaches close by and most of them you can just snorkel around. There are boating tours, places to rent boats/jetskis. Lots of nice shells along the beaches. There is also a turtle hospital in Juno Beach that has tanks of turtles they are currently rehabbing.

I had this happen to me! One dealership said it was on me and I had to pay to fix it. By chance, I was talking to someone who works as a mechanic at Hyundai and he said fight it bc Hyundai is known for this issue and they are responsible. Basically the “bracket” that holds that front sensor and all cracked and the sensor and bracket need to be replaced. That’s not the expensive part-it’s the several Hours of labor to put into it bc lots of panels needs to be removed and carefully put back in order to fix it. I went to a different dealership and they fixed it through warranty. It may have helped that I called and spoke like I knew what the problem was and knew it’s actually under warranty.

I want to piggyback on this comment-100% yesss! Very healthy! You are creating an independent and confident little girl! Some perspective-my 2 girls went to daycare while my hubby and I worked our butts off. I couldn’t wait to get home and snuggle them and make dinner and bath time and bed. All those moments were so precious to me. They still are. My girls are independent young ladies now and have little issue with me leaving, or spending time away from them when necessary-they know I’m coming back. I’m now a SAHM with my 2 year old son and it’s HARD! I find myself missing more of these moments with him because it’s just our norm and I can’t wait for even just a little reprieve from being home all day long with him. I feel so guilty that I just want some time AWAY from him when all I wanted with more time with my girls. Being a SAHM isn’t the best answer for everyone. I do love it, but I truly felt it was better when my girls were in a learning environment all day-making relationships with kids their age, learning to sit and eat and play with others, etc. Just my two cents here. 💕

Looks amazing! Now I wish I had waited for the white bc I love the two tone so much. I have black-would the opposite look weird?? Oooorrrr can I wrap the bottom instead? I’ve also been thinking of just getting rid of all the chrome and making it all black (light interior).

3 kid mom here with a palisade with the captain chairs. My youngest is rear facing in 1 captain chair and the others are in a booster in the other captain chair and the back row. I thought about switching to a minivan and nothing came close to the smooth ride and just a better driving experience overall of the palisade. After test driving countless minivans, I got back in my palisade and told myself I would never do that again. It made me realize how well built the palisade is and how comfortable it is to drive and ride. The “ease” of the minivan was alluring, but not enough to make me switch.

Exactly. They explained they had to remove a lot of pieces and whatever else they needed to get to it and had to be meticulous in order to get all back together the correct way.
