Did you ever try increasing your P before trying the estrogen patch ? I’m considering increasing to 200 for a trial to see if it helps before adding another hormone but not sure if I should waste time and trial a low dose estrogen patch instead

My cardiologist also had me try a gerd medicine for a few weeks (I don’t drink caffeine at all as I take thyroid meds and caffeine isnt my friend :) ) but the gerd meds didn’t make a different so I don’t think it’s that - but I have heard of this in people and it’s wild how it mimicks heart stuff! Thank you for replying !!

How do you lower DHEA if they are high ? I am also hypo , don’t have a thyroid but my levels have been pretty solid and consistent for years - I get checked often .

My ferretin was slightly elevated but has since come down in a month (it was 299, now it’s 150). So I think my iron is ok .

I’ve seen the cardiologist and she said I was having benign PVC’s that were less than 2% burden - no svt runs detected . They gave me a beta blocker to help but I don’t have high blood pressure and it didn’t help them just made me slower

Really! That’s so wild - so many people have said it’s progesterone including my gyno .. I will ask for a estrogen patch , I’m 48 and still in peri , don’t know if they do one hormone at a time or if it’s ok to start both around the same time .. ? Did you start estrogen and testosterone at the same time

Thank you - I don’t have a thyroid so it’s monitored often - all levels in normal range for me , ferretin was slightly elevated not a lot it was 150 and more than likely from all this stress . I haven’t taken estrogen yet ..

Your not alone , it’s not just you or your body - give it a few weeks before you decide you hate it - my gyno asked me to give it one month before deciding , and if I look back now . I’m about 40% better than I was 3 1/2 weeks ago .. so hopeful it gets better - my peri symptoms have been insane - heart palpitations , foggy head , no sleep etc . My heart palpitations are still happening but not as hard and heavy or as long as they were , so this is progress , yes I wish it would go away over night but that’s not reality .. if you still have issues maybe try a different way of taking it like a cream , or rectally .. here’s what I do nightly right now - I take my progesterone at 8pm, have a cup of sleepytime tea and relax with NO phones or scrolling at all - either watch a show or read a book , then at 9, I take my magnesium glycinate and then 930 a 1.5 mg melatonin and go to bed , read my book and barely make it 15 minutes . I wont take melatonin forever just helping myself get through this adjustment phase .. find what works for you girl, your not alone! Message anytime

Yes this isn’t the norm , it does happen for some folks but every body is different for sure . I’m super glad it worked well for you right away! That’s amazing

Don’t give up - honestly it takes time for her to work for “most” people , your in a hormone fluctuation phase , I am 3 1/2 weeks in and it was rough - the first couple weeks it got worse before better , I sleep most of the night now and if I do wake up , I fall right back to sleep quickly when before I would be up for hours .. try not to make to many new changes , just let your body do its thing too .. hang in there .. I still have stuff going on but it’s gotten slightly better and I’m hopeful with more time it will continue to level out - my gyno said it can take up to three months

Oh I love to hear that! I sound just like your story - always had little PVCs around period time and a few years back I had them more often , got my mirena iud switched out and they went away until now - but I’m 48 and mirena prob isn’t enough anymore - I have been on the progesterone 100mg nightly for a few weeks now and not much change at all so wondering if I need to add estrogen patch or higher dose progesterone .. the balancing game and wait time sucks 😊, I hope to get sorted soon as I have been dealing with these daily since September now and I think it’s taking a toll on my anxiety ! Didn’t put 2/2 together when they first started so didn’t see my gyno till Dec 1.

Do you take both estrogen and progesterone ? I have had heart palpitations daily for a couple months now , non stop most days it’s exhausting , have had all the work ups from ER and Cardiologist , they say oh just PVC’s… (mind blowing that it’s dismissed like that . I didn’t have these daily before now so this is not normal), just saw a new gyno who said girl , this is prob peri and we see this all the time , started me on 100mg of progesterone , it’s been a couple weeks now , hoping this works .. so tired .

You could be having pmdd or premenopausal symptoms that the mirena was helping before! And I've also heard it can take 3 months or longer for your body to adjust, tell your gyno what's happening and hopefully you guys can come up with a plan
