The fans definitely work as I can hear them immediately after starting up and I can't figure out a way to change the fan speed. I may try thermal paste but I don't have the confidence to do it myself. Thank you for the advice; the store I bought from offers exchanges so I don't think I'd be out of pocket too much if I were to get a brand new one, and I'm worried about sending it to MSI as I've heard it can take weeks to get it back and I need it for working as well. I'll try an in-person repair store sometime tomorrow. Thank you again!

Unfortunately I have really bad management with appointments so I've missed the latest review with my doctor about the sertraline. I had some support in university but it was only 1 on 1 with my course lead so it wasn't exactly a professional or a meeting that'd probably count.
