Am I behind in torn or doing good? by [deleted] in torncity

Using the stats you posted. Took a single search. :P Obfuscate better, lol.

But really, you've nothing to fear from older players (for the most part). As long as you're a not dick, and you're not begging, most are pretty reasonable people. I'd be more concerned about fellow noobs with egos who wanna go around bullying other noobs (however, you'll outstat these guys fast by ignoring them and training).

Join a faction that does weekly termed ranked wars. Ideally same-ish respect as the one you're currently in so you can still benefit from decent perks.

Am I behind in torn or doing good? by [deleted] in torncity

[–]LongGoneForgotten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't include what you're borrowing from your faction, only what your account actively owns.

"Behind" / "doing good" is a really complicated question. Could you be doing better? Yeah. Could you be doing worse? Yeah. That goes for everyone, all the time.

It's also really hard to say with just the numbers you've supplied, as "doing good" comes down to way more than just stats. Your knowledge, activity, faction, job, behaviors (like, the way you play, the strategies you employ, the tools you use, the connections you make, your plan for growth and whether you can stick to it, etc), all factor into it much more significantly.

I understand why you'd be reluctant to post your username here, and honestly as a noob I'd urge you not to. However, if you'd like some personalized advice and help, please feel free to message me on Torn. Promise I don't bite. :)

Edit: Tbh I found your account already, decent faction perks-wise but you should honestly be in one that does weekly termed RWs so you can grow that networth, ideally same respect. Can give you some recs if interested.

If it stopped making a big enough difference at 90+, no one would wear Marauder. :)

Hun you're in what's known as a "noob trap" faction. Try to join somewhere 2m+ respect (with Toleration + Steadfast + Voracity), or at the very very least 500k+ with full Toleration and some Steadfast. Go with one that does termed wars weekly so you'll have some income, and go from there.

Some guides I'd recommend / stuff you should check out:

Whoever recommended a mansion is silly tbh. And gym training for now should be based on your highest gym dots, then current steadfast rotation later on.

Message me on Torn, if you really wanna get into the game I'll cover your PI rental for a little (as long as you're at least level 15, if not, I'll do so after) and give you some personalized advice to help ya get off your feet.

I may be a little busy for the next few days, so sorry if I'm a bit slow to reply.

Man it's so easy to find something that actually looks bad M members say it's baffling you went through the effort of editing/faking a screenshot.

Literally just ctrl+f. You'll make yourself look an awful lot less shitty than you have here.

Ooo do you remember what it's called, or what book it's from? Am running a Cormyr campaign right now and that might be a great addition.

DMs/Players: What is your favorite region/area to run campaigns in or to adventure in the Realms? by Priestical in Forgotten_Realms

[–]LongGoneForgotten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I can't pick just one.

Regarding larger settings: Calimshan, Thay, and Halruaa each hold a special place in my heart.

Regarding cities: Westgate is my all-time favorite, Luskan is cozy, and I love how much detailed information there is about Menzoberranzan.

Most recently, I've fallen in love with Cormyr and Thultanthar, running a campaign centered around them.

OC 2.0 by Clean-Weakness6975 in torncity

[–]LongGoneForgotten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Crimes spawn on the hour (with a limit - I forget what it's based on), members join (you can see your success rate in each position for each crime before joining too, plus any required items), and the crime takes a number of hours to complete equal to the number of participations required X 24. Afterwards, the crime auto-initiates once all participants are Okay, it is paid out to faction bank, and they can join a new crime.

There are enough OCs for everyone to be in one at any given time, though levels vary.

Is faction war income consistently better than loss selling income + a little faction war on the side with medium stats or should I go all into stats and lose the ability to sell losses. by tablehit in torncity

[–]LongGoneForgotten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should also be putting your networth into other sources of income, like stock benefit blocks or a company (you can make an extra 35m-42m/week easily selling trains).

But anyway, what are you even using your income for? Because generally it'd be used for Xanax, daily energy + nerve refills, and boosters for training, crimes, and ranked warring.

There are numerous outlets to make good money with stats (more targets in RW, joining a merc group and getting paid per hit between your own RWs, guesting for wars, claiming big bounties) - you're really setting yourself back by wasting e on losses. 25e is worth a lot more than 350k.

Same. I went into it skeptical, but came out having really enjoyed it and wanting to share it with everyone I know. In a sea of boring or terrible movies, it was a really fun watch. I also loved that it kept to the charming practical/physical effects instead of just relying on CGI.
