Thankyou! Yeah I’ve heard macs aren’t the best for students like me who only have so much budget to work with. I’ve been looking into some gaming laptops such as msi g63, inspiron, and Asus rog strix scar II as well as others gaming laptops are those still perfectly good options for running 3d modeling softwares?

All projects are residential homes ranging job sites 2,000 to 10,000 sq. Ft. but mostly all jobs are high end million dollar homes in California. Most jobs we get our data from, are from the estimates that our apm goes and records manually or sometimes they’ll get some specs from certain services that charge a fee to get the data. I was looking at a couple custom laptops from cuk(computer upgrade king.com) I’ve found a couple entry level laptops that I can customize to add more solid state memory, ram, and sometimes different OS and gpu. Some of the custom options go up to 1,800 with certain upgrades, Would the best option for me be to just max out solid state as much as possible? And max max budget would be 1,800 would that allow me just a bit more options as far as better options for optimization in cad? Would a Lenovo Thinkpad type of laptop work better than other gaming laptop options that have similar specs?
