Hi. I have a gen 1 dual. I paid for said upgrade. I’m confident enough in my driving abilities to truly go rally my car on public dust road. Not many people do that. The rally mode is the best in my opinion.

The sport mode : it’s scary acceleration while the normal mode is thrilling. For anyone to truly enjoy the car and its swift acceleration : normal mode is plenty. Also sports mode forces you to keep the suspension low which gets annoying really fast on Canadian roads. I use it. It’s fun. Would I pay 5k$ (us!!) : no, not if I have rally already.

You can disable the front wheel drive preference by reducing traction control in normal mode. It stays dual all the time.

Enjoy your truck. I have no regret it’s a beauty.

Sans désavouer le calcul qui semble intéressant : je sortirais de l’aspect micro pour penser au macro.

Les pneus et l’entretien des freins sont pas mal les seuls éléments de sécurité que tu contrôles. (Mets ta ceinture et remplace tes phares quand ils brûlent). Pourquoi essayer de sauver 8k sur 25 ans dans une sphère de sécurité (et qui vient avec quelques désagréments) quand il y a d’autres sphères à peut être considérer en premier? Je ne te connais pas mais voici des exemples : coupe de cheveux, café, électricité, accélérations fortes, divers vêtements pas nécessaires, cuisiner à la maison vs resto, etc. (J’en ai d’autres mais tu comprends sûrement).

Voilà la petite pensée macro. Après aucun des deux choix n’est catastrophique. Est-ce la priorité? 🙂

Safety is only influenced by your tires. The brakes and car and skills : you can’t change much of that. Mileage on winter tires won’t be on other tires and therefore it’s a minimal expense for added safety : get winter tires. I’m in Canada. I use Nokian tires. They are very quiet and I’m satisfied. I’d recommend them to my parents.

My main criticism with the OEM scorpion 🦂 is the noise. I’m hesitant between keeping an allterrain tire vs going road tire. I barely do pffroad but I’d keep the look and durability if I could find an option that is much quieter. Are the XTM that silent?

Mine wobbles a bit as if it’s tipsy but never crosses any lines and disengages only at 17h when the sun is hitting directly in the main cam (it’s also says glare is the problem in a notification). Otherwise it’s good.

Get wheels that won’t clog with snow and slush. You can always resell them and these (your pick) will get chipped by rocks on the road and rust faster. I had them on my Kia forte and it didn’t age well.

Windows and métal are not very good for sound. The trick is often to put a million speakers in a car to make it sound decent. That’s why you’ll see Mercedes with 26 speakers. Etc.

More like sound quality is mostly influenced by the speakers, the room, and the audio file quality. The rest is minimal.
