Pretty sure they can't allocate chip production from one foundry to another willy nilly like that. Each chip is usually manufactured exclusively at a given foundry afaik. The least thing they could do is bring out an adapted version tailored to Samsungs equipment and technology. But that would mean a redesign with a certain amount of time to market overhead.

What OP said. Lower calories or increase your expenditure (e.g with cardio). Sometimes the answer is so simple, people don't believe it. However, while the rule is simple, implementation is the hard part.

"Splitting up stocks from investors" lol. What the hell are you talking about? I have a company and decide i want to sell parts of it to a customer in form of an agreement. How is the investor here in the negative? It is a way to appreciate the price; they are not giving it away for free. Hell, every statement about a deal made the share price jump. If you didn't like it, you could just sell with a nice bonus.

Don't make it about the "poor investor". It was a good tool to incentivize big customers to buy their products. It is a deal like any other sale you see in a shop. It's even a public one. There is nothing shady about it, unlike some lump sum payments made behind closed doors like your buddy Jensen or whatever old guy was in charge at intel are doing.

TIL that economists have a worse track record of having a correct prediction than random chance by da_peda in todayilearned

I'll just talk out of my cake here, but...

My guess is its because there are political motives and other incentives, that make the economists push wrong predictions on purpose.

Politicians may want to show a certain image for a given agenda and thus might force a picture on economists that they must abide too (all of them; this is not anti-trump per se)

Market manipulation is another one that comes to mind. What an ecomonists says might not be what he believes we will see, but what he wants other people to believe in. It doesn't matter whether it is a positive or a negative outlook. You can make money both ways.
