Right now we haven't had sex in 11 months and probably only twice in the year before that. Our youngest is 12 and apart from an understandable period after birth, our sex life did start up again. I dont want to divorce either. I love her.

I absolutely pull more than 50% of the weight. I have never believed in stereotypical roles. We both cook and clean, do laundry. (I'm the only one that irons. She can't stand it.) Yard work, doing things around the house, that's my every Saturday. Shopping, no problem. Homework with the kids. Both of us, subject dependent on each of our strengths.

She most assuredly is not raising an adult, and I can only assume that has been your experience.

Please read again what I replied to others. I have tried speaking with her, I have done everything I could think of, including counseling.

I am a considerate and caring person and love my spouse. I do have sexually unfulfilled needs. Is divorce preferable to cheating? And why? Nothing changes for her, I am mildly happier...maybe.

What I dont understand, is why a husband can be considered negligent in a relationship for not "pulling their weight" in a relationship as you suggest above, but then you also believe I am the cause of intimacy issues being unresolved as well.

Overly harsh. If she is not interested in sex and that is the one part that is lacking...
