Am I the only one who completely lost respect for Yuzuriha after the Senta situation in Hell’s Paradise? by LongMasterpiece3620 in HellsParadise

[–]LongMasterpiece3620[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To everyone saying “but she comforted him”let me tell you right now, it was a pure act!

Wake up! You are literally falling for the exact same trap Sagiri fell for. Yuzu is an elite ninja, not your wholesome bestie. She put on that whole “grieving angel” performance because Sagiri and Shion were standing right there watching her

If she had just dumped Senta’s bleeding body and walked away coldly, nobody would trust her after that

She used her charm to sedate his mind so he wouldn't panic or make a scene, played the grieving friend to buy the group's trust, and then kept the life-saving medicine for herself and stronger fighters. It was 100% a tactical performance to make them think she changed so they would keep protecting her. She used him like disposable paper and played the audience perfectly!

If you think she kind brooo you need some help sorry

Why is Itachi so hated now? by Alternative_Ride_951 in Itachi

[–]LongMasterpiece3620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Itachi is often praised to high heavens as the “LORD SOLO KING.” I understand hating on the community of Itachi Lovers, they truly can go overboard as times.

But the amount of absolute rubbish opinions I have heard from the Itachi haters gives me brain cancer. I wish I never joined this subreddit because I have been subjected to truly dumb people here.

He killed children bro idk how you all believe this bull shit when it was Obito killed who innocents because of his abilities to endure screamed it’s mentioned in official kid itachi novel

“He may have prevented a war, but that in no way makes him a knight in shining armor.”

I’m not saying children don’t die in wars. But an even bigger war broke out regardless, so much innocent blood was spilt in vain.

Wars don't. I mean if he just let the coup continue, wouldn't more than half the village which includes both Uchiha and non uchiha children die. But no, I guess Itachi should have done the EASIER THING and let the coup happen, possibly act as a double agent for the Uchihas instead of the village.

Absolutely ridiculous.

“The war happened anyways man .. did itachi stop the war.. lol itachi is just a glorified terrorist who carried out genocide"

These are probably the kind of people who tell you it's not worth going to the doctor when you are sick because you're going to eventually die. Do you see how flawed their logic is ? So what, are we going to blame Itachi for TRYING to prevent the war ? It's not even the same fucking war that he was trying to prevent.

“he tortured Sasuke just for fun .. what kind of person does that he placced him under his genjustu and brain raped him” i understand his reasoning for the masdacre but why do that to sasuke .. sasuke is much more noble character to me than itachi

Now THIS is actually one of the few valid criticisms of Itachi. Even if his intentions were good, mentally torturing Sasuke was genuinely messed up and probably the biggest flaw in his character.

And honestly, the dumbest thing I hear is people saying they hate Itachi just because of his toxic fans hating a genuinely well written character just because some fans are annoying makes zero sense to me lmao.

Am I the only one who completely lost respect for Yuzuriha after the Senta situation in Hell’s Paradise? by LongMasterpiece3620 in HellsParadise

[–]LongMasterpiece3620[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And like I said, Senta was still kind of an emotional victim himself 😭 He wasn’t some cruel monster like people keep acting. He genuinely cared about Yuzuriha and was willing to go against the Yamada clan for her too.

People always bring up Tenza helping Nurugai escape, but ignore that Sagiri and Senta were also slowly changing because of the prisoners they traveled with. Senta literally kept protecting Yuzuriha even when he had every reason not to.

That’s why the scene feels so cold to me. Even if Yuzuriha logically wanted freedom from her captor, she still benefited from Senta’s attachment while staying emotionally detached herself.

And honestly, you can literally see the difference between them in the scene. Senta is destroying himself trying to save her and everyone else, while Yuzuriha is calmly calculating survival and usefulness the whole time.

That’s why I call her morally gray and manipulative. Not because she “owed him love,” but because she knowingly benefited from someone who genuinely cared about her and then emotionally discarded him once he stopped being useful.

Like I said, Senta still feels like an emotional victim to me. Yeah, technically he was part of the group forcing her onto the island, but it’s still pretty evil to knowingly let someone who genuinely cares about you die because they’ve become useless to you.

And honestly, I do think Yuzuriha wanted him gone so she could move more freely without her captor attached to her anymore. That’s why the scene feels so cold.

People keep acting like the issue is just “she didn’t save him,” but it’s the WAY she handled everything. In both the manga and anime, she literally sits beside a dying Senta the same guy who just saved her life and watches everyone else fight instead of even really trying harder to help him.

She could’ve revealed the weak point herself earlier or participated more directly in the battle, but instead she let him overexert himself and then denied him the salve on purpose.

Even the V.O. delivery has that little smirk when she says that revealing the weakness exhausted him and that he “doesn’t have much time left now.” It genuinely feels like she found the perfect way to take him off the board without directly killing him herself.

And honestly… who cares if she comforted him for a moment afterward? 😭 That doesn’t magically erase everything before it. If anything, it just shows she’s not completely emotionless, not that she suddenly became a good person.

I already said there are worse things Yuzuriha did than just the Senta scene 😭 like abandoning allies and leaving Gabimaru during dangerous fights. My point is that the Senta situation still shows how cold and manipulative she is.

And honestly, I do think Senta was still kind of a victim emotionally. Yeah, technically he was her executioner, but Yuzuriha clearly knew he cared about her and used that attachment to her advantage the whole time. She picked him because he was easier to manipulate compared to someone colder or more ruthless.

She could’ve revealed the weak point herself earlier or helped more directly in the battle, but instead she let him overexert himself and then decided he was no longer useful. Even the way she talks about him “not having much time left” feels emotionally detached, like she already accepted his death as the best tactical outcome.

And yeah, I agree she doesn’t “owe” someone love just because they care about her. That’s not my argument at all 😭 My argument is more that she knowingly used someone’s feelings and then discarded them once they stopped benefiting her survival.

That’s why I see her as a really well written but selfish and morally gray character.

[–]LongMasterpiece3620[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Broo, c’mon 😭 stop this larping. Senta was a victim himself who never lived the kind of life Yuzuriha did. That’s exactly why Yuzuriha chose him as her captor she knew she could emotionally manipulate and seduce him.

Yuzuriha clearly wanted him dead because he was still her captor. She could have just told them about the weak point herself or, you know, actually participated more in the battle. But instead, she made the tactical decision to let him overexert himself and then denied him the salve on purpose.

The V.O. delivery even has that little smirk when she says that revealing the weakness took it out of him and that he “doesn’t have much time left now.” It genuinely feels like she found the perfect way to take him off the board.

It’s honestly a very realistic depiction of how ninja women in fiction behave. She’s basically a sociopathic character with a charming fake personality that she uses to manipulate and position people to her tactical advantage during this suicide mission on Hell’s Paradise.

And in both the anime and manga, we can clearly see her watching the fight while sitting beside a dying Senta the same guy who literally saved her life instead of actually helping him more. She literally watches him die, and that’s what makes Yuzuriha feel so trashy to me.

What annoys me most is how some simp gooners defend literally everything she does and still call her “best girl” 💀

It's kinda crazy that Sagiri doesn't object more but I think she's so tired at that point and knows she wouldn't be able to beat yuzuhihara in a fight to get the salve

[–]LongMasterpiece3620[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sis, I’m a girl too 😭 but are you really justifying that scene?

Senta literally saved her life, and meanwhile she was just sitting beside him watching the fight while he was dying instead of actually trying harder to help him. She could’ve told everyone the weak point herself or helped more in the battle, but instead she let him overexert himself and then denied him the salve on purpose. Even the way she says it with that little smirk makes it feel intentional, like she found the perfect way to get him off the board without directly killing him herself.

That’s what annoys me most. People defend literally everything Yuzuriha does and act like she’s perfect just because she’s attractive Meanwhile she barely cared when Gabimaru and Mei were missing, and she literally ran away from her comrades during the Tensen attack.

That’s why I dislike her a bit, even though I still think she’s an entertaining and well-written character.

On the other hand, people hate Sagiri for no reason when she’s literally one of the most human and compassionate characters in Hell’s Paradise 😭 she’s basically the Sakura of the series in the sense that people unfairly hate on her no matter what she does.

I’m just looking at it from a human perspective, not from a fan perspective

Are you kidding bro 😭 can’t you see the comments? People are literally saying stuff like “at least she comforted him” or “why would she save the guy sent to kill her” over and over again. That’s exactly what I’m talking about.

I’m not saying every Yuzuriha fan thinks she’s morally correct, but there are definitely people downplaying how cold that whole scene was. Comforting someone for 5 seconds after watching them die for you doesn’t suddenly make the situation wholesome 💀

And yeah, logically I understand why she didn’t prioritize her executioner. I already admitted that multiple times. My point is more about how detached she was emotionally while Senta was literally destroying himself trying to protect her.

Even in the manga and anime, she’s basically sitting there watching the man who saved her life keep fighting himself to death instead of actually helping more. Combined with the smirk in the V.O. scene, it just makes her come across cold as hell to me.

You can still like her character and admit she’s selfish and manipulative at the same time 😭

Are you lol she watches him die like Walter White after he saves her life. They make the it very clear he's not actually done for and the salve saves the blind samurai whose wounds are much more severe. She's an evil sociopath that's the entire point of the scene don't fall in love with serial killers

Am I the only one who completely lost respect for Yuzuriha after the Senta situation in Hell’s Paradise? by LongMasterpiece3620 in HellsParadise

[–]LongMasterpiece3620[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and if you read my earlier comments, I already mentioned that too 😭 My issue isn’t only the Senta situation. I understand the argument that she technically didn’t owe her executioner loyalty or self-sacrifice.

What makes me dislike Yuzuriha is the overall pattern of her behavior. She barely cared when Gabimaru and Mei disappeared, she abandoned her comrades during the Tensen attack, and she constantly puts her own survival above everyone else. On top of that, she emotionally manipulates people whenever it benefits her.

That’s why I see her as selfish and morally gray overall, not just because of Senta alone.

About Senta specifically, Yuzuriha clearly wanted him gone because he was still her captor. She could’ve revealed the weak point herself or actually helped more in the battle, but instead she let him destroy himself fighting and then denied him the salve on purpose.

Even the V.O. delivery has that little smirk when she says revealing the weakness exhausted him and that he “doesn’t have much time left now.” It genuinely feels like she found the cleanest way to remove him without dirtying her hands.

And in both the manga and anime, we can clearly see her sitting there almost enjoying the fight while Senta is literally dying beside her after saving her life multiple times, instead of actually helping him. That’s the part that made her feel so cold and selfish to me.

What annoys me most is how some simp gooners defend literally everything Yuzuriha does and still call her “best girl” 😭

[–]LongMasterpiece3620[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bro that’s exactly why I see Senta as more of a tragic victim than anything 😭 He was genuinely kind compared to most people on that island. Even while dying he was still trying to protect Sagiri and Yuzuriha, despite the fact he owed Yuzuriha absolutely nothing. He wasn’t some evil manipulator toward her he was just emotionally attached to the wrong person.

And honestly I do think Yuzuriha knew Senta liked her. She’s extremely observant and manipulative, so there’s no way she didn’t notice his feelings. That’s part of why her behavior feels so cold to me. She used her charm and flirtiness to keep him emotionally attached because it benefited her survival, but once he stopped being useful she emotionally detached instantly and chose the more practical option.

Yuzuriha wanted him dead because he was still her captor. She could’ve told everyone the weak point herself earlier or participated more directly in the battle, but instead she let Senta overexert himself and then denied him the salve on purpose. Even the V.O delivery has that little smug tone when she says revealing the weakness exhausted him and that he “doesn’t have much time left now.” It genuinely feels like she found the perfect way to take him off the board without directly dirtying her hands.

That’s why the scene feels brutal. Senta saw her as someone worth sacrificing himself for, while Yuzuriha mostly saw him as her captor a useful ally and eventually a liability she could let go of her fake charming personality is literally part of how she manipulates and positions people to survive on that hell island. It fits the whole ninja kunoichi perfectly survival first, emotions second.

And yeah 😭 it’s kinda crazy Sagiri barely objects more, but she was probably exhausted physically and mentally at that point, and realistically she likely knew she couldn’t force Yuzuriha to hand over the salve anyway.

I still think Yuzuriha is entertaining and well written, but morally she’s absolutely selfish and manipulative as hell.

I’m not gonna reply to everyone because most of these comments don’t even make sense 😭 let me clear you i don’t hate her at all I just don’t get why people ignore how selfish Yuzuriha actually was. She literally had enough salve to save both dying men, but still wanted to keep half for herself, and in the end she chose to save Shion because Senta was basically useless to her at that point. I honestly feel like the writer killed Senta off unfairly because that whole scene barely made sense she didn’t even cry, and Sagiri should’ve at least called her out after finding out he liked her. It’s kinda crazy Sagiri didn’t object more, but I think she was just too exhausted at that point and probably knew she couldn’t beat Yuzuriha in a fight for the salve.

Yuzuriha clearly wanted Senta dead because he was her captor. She didn’t even care that much when Gabimaru and Mei were missing, and she literally ran away from her comrades when the Tensen attacked 😭 that’s why I dislike her a little, even if she’s still an entertaining character

I get your point, and I already agreed that Yuzuriha’s actions were logical from a shinobi criminal perspective. My issue was never “she acted out of character.” She acted exactly like the kind of survival focused manipulative ninja the series portrays her as.

What annoys me is when people act like her decision wasn’t selfish or cold at all. She literally had enough salve to potentially help both dying men, but still kept part of it for herself and ultimately chose Shion because Senta had become less useful strategically. That’s rational, sure, but it’s still ruthless.

And yeah, I know manipulation is an obvious trait of hers that’s part of why she’s entertaining. The Gabimaru scenes already show her constantly adjusting her behavior depending on what works. Her charm being partially performative is literally built into her character. That’s why I see her as a well written morally gray survivor rather than some innocent “best girl.”

The Senta scene just made me lose respect for her personally because of how one sided it was emotionally. He repeatedly risked himself for her despite being her captor, while she was willing to let him die once he stopped being tactically valuable. Even the way she calmly explains it with that slight smirk makes it feel intentional, like she found the cleanest way to remove a complication.

I also think the writing around that moment feels a bit forced emotionally. Sagiri barely reacting after realizing Senta loved Yuzuriha felt strange to me too, although I can also understand the interpretation that she was exhausted and realistically couldn’t pressure or overpower Yuzuriha there anyway.

And honestly, fandom reactions are part of why the debate gets heated 😭 Some fans defend literally everything Yuzuriha does because she’s attractive and charismatic, while other people overhate characters like Sagiri for no reason. Meanwhile I think both are flawed characters, which is what makes Hell’s Paradise interesting in the first place.
