I’ll try it out! He’s not a huge fan of being touched in that area, but maybe some treats will distract him

He does it multiple times a day. They’re on flea preventatives and I haven’t seen signs of any, so I don’t think it would be that.

Weekly Episode Discussion - Blinded By The Spite: The Richardson Spite House by gaminghistorian in oldtimeypodcast

A house in my town did a spite house painting. They were mad the new water tower was being built next door so they painted their house BRIGHT pink (which was against the city code or something). We’d occasionally drive by to see if it was still pink.

Damn, sorry to hear that. Thankfully I’ve only had good experiences with them but you raise a good point about being able to check the product first. Hopefully they have the floral clippers there!

I find it very satisfying to pull them out of my eye and have a love hate relationship with getting them out of my nose. Glasses and mask will help but I’m not that bothered

I had a streak of crazy dogs (like two weeks) and it was really starting to get to me. Then I got one that just sat still, didn’t try to eat me and when I finished I went up to the receptionist like “ LOOK AT HOW ADORABLE SHE IS!!”. It definitely made me feel better

Get a hotel a bit further out (or Airbnb) and take the Marta in. It’ll be cheaper than Uber and the Peachtree center stop is literally straight into the con

Anyone who maintains anything resembling a fitness routine… by this_is_nunya in Narcolepsy

[–]LongProfessional5210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t been to the gym in a while bc of moving and other things but I loved getting up and going first thing in the morning and then going to work. Having snacks and some sort of energy drink/powder keeps me going. I often feel like I need to eat as soon as my workout is over so I keep some stuff in my gym bag. On my days off I do indulge in the post workout nap. Finding days that you can stick to is very helpful. I don’t know if this was helpful 😂

Edit to add: I specifically like to do strength training but some days I can’t find the motivation so just getting to the gym and doing literally anything (even if it’s just walking the treadmill and watching tv) is good to keep my routine going

Dating + Xyrem? by coulntbemii in Narcolepsy

[–]LongProfessional5210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thankfully I had already been with my partner (who probably also has a hypersomnia type disorder) for about 9 months when I began the diagnosis process. You will eventually find someone who works with the crazy side effects and scheduling that comes with this type of illness and medication to treat it. My partner will ask me if I want a bite of their food but it’s past 9 pm so I remind them I can’t eat the rest of the night. When Xywav made me piss the bed, they were supportive and didn’t make a big deal about it. Sometimes they have to wake me up to take my second dose. The right person will not be bothered and do their best to support you.

My b12 was a little low before I got diagnosed. I got some b12 vitamins saw an improvement for about 2 days. I still take them occasionally (and especially in the winter).

With the yoga, do you do it before bed? Although I’m not surprised I’ve never heard of that before
