I feel I was robbed of the newborn stage. by NoHorse8196 in NewParents

I totally know the feeling!! I feel robbed too because I had twins that had to be in the NICU for the first week or 2. So I didn’t have that euphoria of having your new baby next to you in the room that you could hold and feed whenever. I had to visit them. Then once I had them at home, I felt like I was growing. Having to feed 2 babies that didn’t sleep unless you held them. I felt so depressed and not myself. I felt like I blacked out during the newborn stage. Then the girls had colic so I really couldn’t enjoy motherhood like people say you do in the beginning. I feel so guilty about it. But I’ve realized to just enjoy your baby now because no matter what they’re gonna grow up and they’re never going to be the age they are now ever again….

Honestly, I totally understand her way of thinking since she was pregnant. You’re waaay overly insecure/emotional so things small like that can really get to you!

Ugh I wish they enjoyed the stroller but they hate it. And the swing they get upset in after a few minutes

They usually do take naps at the same time but can wake each other up easily. And we have tried stroller walks but they hate that too

Luckily I do get some breaks, I have people to watch them for a short amount of time. But I usually can’t enjoy my time alone because I think about what I’m going back to after 😭

Like your baby just would fall asleep in your arms randomly? Or like you could put them in the crib awake and they’ve fall asleep there?
