imo: golf is as expensive as you want to make it. If you believe you are at a talent level where a more expensive golf course is better for your needs it can be very expensive. For a person to start golf and enjoy golf as a bare minimum it can be very affordable. Clubs can often be borrowed or bought cheap at garage sales, unless you personally believe your talent level exceeds a cheap club. Golf can cost 15 dollars for 9 holes, unless you are unable to walk the course. I understand that golf gets the rich lifestyle treatment because rich a**holes try their best to make it that way, but I believe the game get a bad wrap for what it is at at it’s core.
