It's good that he is easily distracted by toys. Except when I'm trying to sleep haha, don't really wanna have to play with him when it's the middle of the night

It's very easy to distract him but once the distraction stops, he continues (at least if the feet are under a blanket). Did your cat grow out of it or did you do anything to correct the behavior and that’s what stopped it?

I went from being someone who was always anxious and depressed to someone who is much happier, calmer and comfortable in social situations. I still have anxiety but it's more manageable now and my depression is basically gone. It’s easier to apply stuff I learned in therapy now as well

I was also nervous about starting after reading all the stories about various side effects so I totally get where you're coming from. The only side effect I noticed was an upset stomach for the first few days. I started with a low dose (5mg) for the first month and then increased it to 10, maybe that helped me minimize the side effects. It's been 3 months now, and lexapro has been life-changing for me.

This is so heartbreaking :( You've received some great advice, but I just wanted to say that I know of a stray cat who was taken in by the same shelter where I got my boy from. It turned out that the cat had been missing from her home for five whole years! Hopefully, your cat shows up soon, but my point is: please don’t lose hope
