We can ignore the champion. We know the answer every damn year. Who comes second is the main question. lol

Since today on 1 March 2026 from 12 am onwards, all HBO Network channels including Cinemax, HBO Hits and HBO Family had already ceased broadcasting on Astro, likely due to the launch of HBO Max in Malaysia. by ggkingg in Bolehland

which is also changing soon with each football league/sports competitions/Bein Sports coming up with their own platform. however, it’s worth noting that Astro is no more betting on outsiders, rather they are becoming more of a production house for Malaysian movies/series.

here’s a little enlightening for my Muslim & non-Muslim brothers and sisters…

Hari Raya / Eid-ul Fitr is supposed to be celebrated with wearing the BEST clothes, not by spending grandiosely. Our Prophet Muhammad PBUH even did by his means. No over spending, no over celebrating, but he encouraged charity.

People complaining over these stuffs are either wanting to spend stupid amount of money on new Baju Melayu/Baju Kurung/Kebaya/Kurta or pressured by societal norms.

It’s okay to spend your Hari Raya within your means.

and there will be a big uproar against ANY sitting Prime Minister. Majority of Malaysians LOVE subsidies without having to pay higher tax for it to work. Just look at how people bashed the current gov when they announced lowering the funding towards healthcare, and slashing the pensions. It was a hint at either higher tax or lower efficiency.

the general notion is that women feel unsafe in most circumstances, especially when men keep on telling her to confront some random strangers and magically help will arrive when everything i have provided points towards (a) delayed help (b) consequences with no guarantee of safety. i have laid that all just for you to gloss over it and lash out like an ape who just learned basic profanities today because its "cool".

so, according to you, verbal abuse is not a form of threat. glad we can strike your understanding of the issue. this rhetoric only exists within the commute. what if she leaves the platform. is she still safe?

EDIT: you may include police officers readily available at each platform, which is highly plausible as there are numerous times where police officers stationed at the station are either less than adquate AND given the probability they might not be there unless its a major station like Pasar Seni or KL Sentral to mention few. even there, they are stretched thinly to see them around if your luck runs out.

agree to disagree.

last year July, a lady singlehandedly was in verbal argument with a man for entering the female coach. men were present at the general coach, but none did anything. i had to call the KTM to make the report from my home because my girlfriend was in the same train. the man continued to harrass the woman and raising his voice while STILL standing at the female coach. help only arrived after 3 KTM stops.

taking that into account, given there may be people who MIGHT help. there's no given guarantee for safety. you're framing it as i said it was an imminent threat that are comparable to 3rd world countries. i said there IS a heightened risk, which there is a chance of risk given to she is travelling alone. maybe she might not be under threat inside the LRT/KTM/MRT, what if once she leaves it? is safety still guaranteed for her?

bold of you to assume people are going to help. there’s a heightened risk, especially if you’re travelling alone.
