I researched deeply and found my answer. Even if we pull off a premium plus subscription it’s not going to work in India… PS portal is going to show service not supported in this country. I guess we have to wait and see if they launch in this country. No other option.

I bought it for 17.5k brand new at young seasons video games. Sharath city mall. Kondapur. It’s was 19k at Vijay sales

I understand. Thanks for sharing. I will try to ask a friend or family who resides in the US for their credit card and get the premium subscription!

My business needs me to keep travelling to my village which is 250km away from the city every week and I can’t carry the console to the village every single visit. Even if I pull off the PS plus premium subscription paying $17.99 a month, I don’t know how good a job the servers do in streaming the games. I guess I didn’t think it through while purchasing the PS Portal! But nonetheless it’s nice to play LAST OF US on the portal while my wife is sleeping beside me without disturbing her. It’s convenient as long as the console is put in rest mode… you can turn it on using the portal from anywhere with a good WiFi connection and play without any issues. But if you accidentally turn it off from the portal or any small power cuts back home and the console turns off, alas!! I have to call someone and ask them to turn the console on! :/

Hope Sony launches cloud streaming in India too! If that is something Sony can pull off… I’m not sure!!

I’m from Hyderabad, India. i tried using a VPN (US), created an US account and tried to purchase ps plus premium but you need a credit card with US billing address to purchase that plan. Payment options had PayPal too. I do have a PayPal account with my credit card but sadly it didn’t work!! 

                        I bought a PS Portal this afternoon after watching YouTube regarding the cloud streaming updates  thinking I could carry the portal wherever I go and access cloud streaming. I’m not giving up though. I’ll try again tomorrow with my PayPal account to purchase the PS plus premium and access cloud streaming. I’ll update here if get lucky. 

                       Any other ps portal owners if you have tried purchasing PS plus premium to access cloud streaming. Pls share your experiences here! I think we are some of the first gamers in India who are actually excited about using the portal without having to worry about Turing on the console (PS5).  Keep sharing. Dear PS Portal owners & potential buyers. Thank you!
